About Hollywood Park

Hollywood Park, a near 300-acre sports and entertainment destination, is being developed by Los Angeles Rams Owner/Chairman E. Stanley Kroenke with the 70,000-seat SoFi Stadium as its centerpiece. Hollywood Park is the largest urban mixed-use mega development under construction in the Western United States. When complete, Hollywood Park will have up to 2,500 residences, a hotel, a retail district reaching up to 890,000 square feet, up to 5 million square feet of office space, and more than 25-acres of public parks and open space.

Home to the Los Angeles Chargers and Super Bowl LVI Champion Los Angeles Rams, SoFi Stadium is the host of world-renowned sporting events, including Super Bowl LVI in 2022, College Football Playoff National Championship game 2023, WrestleMania 2023, World Cup 2026, and the Opening and Closing Ceremonies of the Olympics in 2028. Adjacent to the stadium and under the same roof canopy is a 2.5-acre open-air plaza, American Airlines Plaza, and the 6,000-seat YouTube Theater. YouTube Theater is an intimate venue, making it the perfect place for concerts, comedy, awards shows, esports competitions, community gatherings, conferences and more.

As Manager, Landscape Maintenance, You Will..

The Landscape Manager, under the direction of the Sr. Director of Turf & Grounds, will be responsible for managing all aspects of interior and exterior landscape displays, floral displays, grounds maintenance, and Lake Park maintenance. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental, property and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) policies, practices, procedures, and guidelines.  The Director of Landscape Maintenance will be required to manage the unique biomes created for the campus while also pursuing the most effective path to ensure a healthy and robust landscape program based upon the activities taking place on the campus.

More Specific Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To…

  • Direct planning and design of new initiatives and projects for Horticulture and Maintenance activities across the entire campus; focus on maintaining biomes and adjusting the plant material as necessary to ensure healthy growth.
  • Prepare, implement, and monitor overall budget to include staffing, labor, supplies, revenues, and overall profitability.
  • Provide strategic insight toward and make recommendations for short-term and long-term capital improvements.
  • Develop and lead departmental strategic plans, initiatives, and projects for the horticulture of the Stadium, Campus and Lake Park.
  • Lead the design, details, specification, layout, material procurement, of new and ongoing projects for the campus, including any additional tenant developments.
  • Prioritize, assign, and schedule job tasks, adjusting schedules as necessary in response to events, facility maintenance, construction and weather conditions.
  • Work closely with executives and facilities managers on assigned projects.
  • Supervise landscape employees and contractors and review their work to ensure it is performed safely, on time, and according to established procedures, regulations, and guidelines.
  • Proactively assist in identifying and resolving issues.
  • Maintain strong cross-functional relationships throughout the organization.
  • Manage and direct team to maintain the landscape design and aesthetic, ensuring healthy, florushing biomes.
  • Understand project vision and collaborate with necessary stakeholders to ensure delivery of landscape design goals.

We’d Love to Hear From People With….

  • Applicable college degree or certification in Horticulture or Landscape Architecture preferred
  • Minimum of 4+ years of experience in landscape design.
  • Must possess valid California Licenses for fertilizer application.
  • Minimum of 1 year of productive experience in the installation, inspection and repair of irrigation systems. 
  • Good knowledge of trenchers, multimeters, wire locators, ditchers and pipe sizing are also essential. 
  • Understand project vision and collaborate with necessary stakeholders to ensure delivery of landscape design goals.
  • Hands-on experience managing the maintenance, health, and remediation of an urban arboretum.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Possess and utilize good interpersonal skills, strong organizational principles, and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated leadership and design skills.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience managing and directing employees/teams.
  • 3-5 years of experience managing budgets.
  • Able to stand, walk and stoop for prolonged periods of time.
  • Must possess a driver's license and good standing driving status.
  • Bilingual - English/Spanish speaking (preferred)

Salary Range: $80,000 - $90,000

 In compliance with the California Pay Transparency Act, compensation information provided is a good faith estimate for this position only. Hollywood Park considers a candidate’s education, certification, prior experience, as well as internal and external data when determining the salary level for potential new employees. Only in exceptional circumstances, if an external candidate has the experience, credentials, or expertise far exceeding what is expected for the position, would Hollywood Park consider paying a salary or rate near the higher end of the range.
