About Hollywood Park
 
Hollywood Park, a near 300-acre sports and entertainment destination, is being developed by Los Angeles Rams Owner/Chairman E. Stanley Kroenke with the 70,000-seat SoFi Stadium as its centerpiece. Hollywood Park is the largest urban mixed-use mega development under construction in the Western United States. When complete, Hollywood Park will have up to 2,500 residences, a hotel, a retail district reaching up to 890,000 square feet, up to 5 million square feet of office space, and more than 25-acres of public parks and open space.
 
Home to the Los Angeles Chargers and Super Bowl LVI Champion Los Angeles Rams, SoFi Stadium is the host of world-renowned sporting events, including Super Bowl LVI in 2022, College Football Playoff National Championship game 2023, WrestleMania 2023, World Cup 2026, and the Opening and Closing Ceremonies of the Olympics in 2028. Adjacent to the stadium and under the same roof canopy is a 2.5-acre open-air plaza, American Airlines Plaza, and the 6,000-seat YouTube Theater. YouTube Theater is an intimate venue, making it the perfect place for concerts, comedy, awards shows, esports competitions, community gatherings, conferences and more.

As the Event Specialist, You Will..
 
Reporting to the Event Manager, the Event Specialist is a full-time position that will be charged with the responsibilities of supervising the day to day coordination and execution of events at SoFi Stadium and Hollywood Park.  This position will work closely with internal and external resources to ensure seamless development and communication of all event related details.

More Specific Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To…
  • Consistently contributes to a world class guest experience at SoFi Stadium and Hollywood Park that welcomes all fans, exceeds expectations and empowers our employees.
  • Assists in the event coordination process for assigned events at SoFi Stadium and Hollywood Park including, but not limited to, NFL games and events, concerts, soccer matches, festivals, film shoots, community events and other ancillary special events.
  • Develop and distribute the following documents in a timely and efficient manner: CAD drawings, event orders, cost estimates, production notes and fact sheets to all internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work with internal departments and external vendors to manage and maintain accurate billing information for each assigned event, including creating pre-event estimates, tracking third party invoices, and finalizing event settlements.
  • Spearhead a thorough debrief of all elements for each event, including overseeing compilation of post-event notes to document the areas for improvement and success.
  • During assigned events, oversee activities and serve as Event Lead. Work with stakeholders to coordinate staffing, support services and all logistics for a seamless event execution.
  • Work collaboratively with internal departments to give directives to part-time event staff including guest experience, security, housekeeping, parking and more.  
  • Ensures the successful implementation of standard operating procedures that meet facility and industry best practices, as well as guarantees all codes, laws, ordinances, policies, procedures, risk management, safety precautions, rules, regulations and emergency procedures are followed.
  • Develops and maintains a positive working relationship with other tenants, facility contractors, county emergency personnel, subcontractors and stakeholders.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
We’d Love to Hear From People With….
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Hospitality, Sports Management or related field of study.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of professional experience in event management in a stadium, arena, public assembly facility or hospitality/tourism industry is required.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills with the ability to communicate effectively and to convey instructions or information to all levels and stakeholders.
  • A working knowledge in the areas of life and fire safety, guest accessibility and ADA compliance; strong preference for experience in the sports and/or entertainment industry.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy and professionalism.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information and situations with professional judgment, discretion and tact.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred but not required.
  • A strong ability to work well in a team environment
  • Ability to maintain a professionally polished appearance.
  • Outstanding customer service and interpersonal communication skills; comfortable with engaging verbally and in writing.
  • Consistent, punctual and regular attendance.
  • Sound decision-making skills, solid judgement, and interpersonal effectiveness.
  • Must be able to successfully traverse the various levels and areas of the Hollywood Park campus with a strong physical condition and ability to stand, walk, climb or run for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to work extended hours including nights, weekends, on-call status, and holidays as necessary.

Compensation:  $68,640 - $72,000 annually

In compliance with the California Pay Transparency Act, compensation information provided is a good faith estimate for this position only. Hollywood Park considers a candidate’s education, certification, prior experience, as well as internal and external data when determining the salary level for potential new employees. Only in exceptional circumstances, if an external candidate has the experience, credentials, or expertise far exceeding what is expected for the position, would Hollywood Park consider paying a salary or rate near the higher end of the range.
