FLSA Status: Part-time, Non-Exempt

Pay Rate: $20.00/hour

 

Job Summary:

The Ticket Taker serves as a first point of contact for guests entering Golden 1 Center by providing a welcoming, efficient, and professional entry experience. This role is responsible for scanning tickets, assisting with guest wayfinding, supporting venue safety protocols, and contributing to a positive overall guest experience.

This is a part-time, event-based position. Event team members must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays based on the Golden 1 Center event calendar.

 

Key Responsibility Areas

  • Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner while providing exceptional customer service at entry points.
  • Scan and verify guest tickets for entry into the venue.
  • Assist guests with directions, seating locations, and general venue information.
  • Support venue safety procedures by assisting Security with identifying unauthorized or prohibited items.
  • Ensure guests comply with ticketing, age, and entry requirements.
  • Assist with ticket counts, ticket bundling, and related operational procedures when necessary.
  • Support fellow team members with ticketing operations during high-volume entry periods.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in assigned concourse and entry areas.
  • Report hazards, operational concerns, or guest issues to supervisors promptly.
  • Respond to guest questions and concerns in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner to enhance the overall guest experience.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous customer service, hospitality, event, or related experience preferred.
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.

Other Qualifications

  • Ability to work a flexible event-based schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, overtime, and on-call shifts as needed.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to remain professional and guest-focused in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently under pressure.
