FLSA Status: Part-Time, Non-Exempt

Pay Rate:  $20.00/hour

 

Job Summary: 

The Elevator Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of passenger elevators during events at Golden 1 Center while delivering a positive, professional, and welcoming guest experience.

This is a part-time, event-based position. Event team members must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays based on the Golden 1 Center event calendar.

 

Key Responsibility Areas:

  • Safely operate passenger elevators during events and maintain orderly guest flow.
  • Welcome guests and provide directions and general venue information.
  • Assist guests with locating restrooms, concessions, guest services, security, first aid, and other venue amenities.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization within assigned elevator areas.
  • Respond to guest questions, concerns, and complaints in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Assist guests with accessibility needs, including those using wheelchairs, walkers, or other mobility devices.
  • Monitor elevator capacity and report operational or safety concerns to supervisors as needed.
  • Interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner to enhance the overall guest experience.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

  • Ability to work a flexible event-based schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, overtime, and on-call shifts as needed.
  • Ability to remain professional, calm, and guest-focused in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

 

Education and/or Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous customer service, hospitality, event, or related experience preferred.
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.

 

Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations

  • Valid California Driver’s License preferred
