Be a part of shaping the creative voice of two of San Diego’s most exciting teams and help define the visual experience for fans from the moment they walk in the door. Frontwave Arena is a state-of-the-art, 7,500-seat indoor venue located in Oceanside, California. It is home to the San Diego Clippers of the NBA G League and the 16-time champion San Diego Sockers of the Major Arena Soccer League. In addition to hosting world-class concerts, sporting events, and community programming, Frontwave Arena also oversees the business operations for both the San Diego Clippers and San Diego Sockers, offering a dynamic and fast-paced environment for professionals passionate about sports and live entertainment.

The General Utility Worker is responsible for the set up and breakdown for events and general upkeep of the facility.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintains a friendly, efficient, spirit-of-service attitude towards customers, clients, and coworkers.

Job Responsibilities

  • Set up, align, and bike racks, stanchions, tables, risers, and staging
  • Lay basketball flooring and/or fields
  • Set up dasher boards
  • Unload and load production equipment
  • Move equipment to the stage
  • Stack sound equipment and speakers
  • Set lighting
  • Perform housekeeping duties
  • Assisting the supervisor or manager with any tasks that are needed
Adheres to all established systems and training programs to provide a safe working environment. Complies with all OSHA regulations and other local, state, and federal government regulations.

Provides a safe environment for customers by keeping assigned area free of clutter.

Maintains compliance with Frontwave's standards of operation, client contract, and our Business Conduct Policy.

Maintains compliance with all requirements of federal, state, and local regulations and guidelines

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

  • High school diploma or general education diploma (GED) preferred. Previous experience preferred.
  • Ability to communicate (both verbally and in writing) effectively. Ability to work well under time constraints.
  • Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out detailed, easy-to-follow written or oral instructions. Ability to work independently.
WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, hazardous materials, and risk of electrical shock. This position requires walking stairs frequently and exposure to sunlight.

LIFTING REQUIREMENTS

MEDIUM (Lifting 50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds)
