Frontwave Arena is seeking a Manager of Accounting for our 7,500-capacity indoor entertainment and sports arena responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with industry regulations, and providing financial insights that drive decision-making. The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting background, experience in the sports or entertainment sectors, and a passion for the industry.

Your expertise lies in ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with industry regulations, and providing strategic financial insights that drive business success. 

What you will do: 
  • Oversee financial statements preparation and analysis. 
  • Preparation and running of balance sheets. 
  • Preparation and running of income statements. 
  • Manage the event settlement process and statements. 
  • 1099 reporting and filing.  
  • Analysis and preparation of sponsorship payments. 
  • Supervise the accounting team. 
  • Supervise accounting processes and procedures. 
  • Draft complex journal entries, and review and approve routine journal entries. 
  • Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations. 
  • Manage budget preparation and financial forecasting. 
  • Review tax packages. 
  • Provide guidance and support to junior staff. 
  • Lead client meetings. 
  • Develop and implement financial controls. 
  • Analyze financial data and prepare reports for Partners. 
  • Identify areas for process improvements and implement solutions. 
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial accuracy and efficiency. 
  • Communicate effectively with government agencies relating to client tax notifications received. 
  • Review and correct financial statements and general ledgers. 

Qualifications:  
  • 5+ years of accounting and business management experience. 
  • Sports and Entertainment industry experience is highly preferred. 
  • BS/BA in business management, accounting, finance, or relevant field required: MSc/MA, CFP and/or CPA is a plus. 
  • Budgeting and forecasting experience required. 
  • Knowledge of Tax Research systems. 
  • Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. 
  • Advanced knowledge of Entity Income Taxation. 
  • Advanced in Individual Income Taxation. 
  • Payroll Knowledge.
