Dickies Arena is a 14,000-seat, spectacular multipurpose venue located adjacent to the Will Rogers Memorial Center campus in Fort Worth, Texas. The arena is owned by the City of Fort Worth and managed by the not-for-profit operating entity, Trail Drive Management Corp (TDMC). The state-of-the-art arena, opened in November 2019, hosts concerts, sporting events and family entertainment, and is the new home to Fort Worth Stock Show rodeo performances.

Job Summary:
Servers are responsible for delivering exceptional hospitality and promoting positive guest interactions while serving guests in a friendly and efficient manner and the general support of the in-seat service experience on the Rodeo Box & Club Levels of Dickies Arena. This is a seasonal part-time, event-based position located within the Food and Beverage Department of Dickies Arena. Hours for this position fluctuate depending upon the arena event schedule.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Respond to guests' needs and requests promptly and courteously.
  • Maintain complete knowledge of all menu items and their presentation.
  • Possess a complete knowledge of available beer, wine, and cocktails.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of arena FAQs, including event, parking, and ticketing information.
  • Deliver professional, courteous, and efficient service to guests.
  • Thoroughly complete all station set-up and breakdown responsibilities.
  • Present guests with checks and settle payments in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Understand and adhere to responsible alcohol service, sanitation, and food safety standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support event operations.
  • Adhere to all cash handling standards and procedures.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum 18 years of age.
  • 1-2 years of experience as a server, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
  • Previous arena or large venue experience preferred but not required.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and proven customer service skills.
  • Exceptional organizational and prioritization abilities.
  • Works well with others; establishes and maintains effective relationships with fellow team members and supervisors.
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated competencies in ethical conduct, teamwork, health and safety, and motivation.

Physical Demands:
The ideal candidate will be able to work in an in-seat service capacity, spending the entire shift on their feet or walking around the concourse. This role requires fast-paced work, exerting up to 50 pounds of force. Delivering orders will need to be done quickly and efficiently. Pushing a cart is required and can sometimes be heavy. Bending and lifting will be required regularly to deliver orders. Ability to consistently navigate stairs during work shifts.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a seasonal, part-time, event-based position. The days and hours of work may vary significantly based on the arena event schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
