JOB SUMMARY:
The Building Security Supervisor works to ensure the efficient day-to-day operations of the Security Department. The Building Security Supervisor oversees a small team of full-time and part-time security staff and works with the Building Security Coordinator on a day-to-day basis and is ultimately responsible to the Building Security Manager. Shift hours 4pm-Midnight, $21 per hour.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise a team of building security full-time and part-time staff
- Possess a strong understanding of all areas of the arena
- Execute policies and procedures to maintain the highest quality of public safety
- Write reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences
- Answer alarms and investigate disturbances
- Interact with guests in the screening security locations, access control,
crowd control, risk management, alcohol enforcement, and court/stage security - Must be comfortable searching bags and a person's body respectfully and efficiently
- Must be able to take objections and respond with a guest service approach first
- Enforce arena safety and security rules and policies
- Foster strong communication within the department
- Ensure consistent standards of practice
- Train and present to staff
- Operate with an emphasis on safety for employees, teams, and guests
- Ability to drive a company vehicle to the our practice facilities
- Protect the reputation of the company

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must possess a valid Utah driver’s license.
- Must be able to pass a Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) screening in accordance with company policy and insurance requirements.
- Must be able to pass a drug test.
- Must be able to take objections and respond with a guest service approach first.
- Must be able to follow verbal and written direction.
- Able to work flexible hours (evenings, weekends, and holidays).
- Strong verbal and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and other employees
- Maintain a professional appearance as set by Smith Entertainment Group Management.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- This person must be able to communicate and express themselves both written and verbally
- This person must be able to observe, inspect, estimate, and assess
- This person must be able to sit, stand, bend, walk, and climb stairs for long periods of time
- This person must be able to lift 25 lbs
