Job Summary: 

The Assistant Conversion Manager’s chief responsibility is to provide support to the manager, provide leadership, direct quality control of finished product, and lead the team in the absence of the conversion manager. The Assistant Conversion Manager's primary responsibility is to set the arena movable risers for NBA basketball games, NHL hockey games, concerts, family shows, conventions, and other duties as needed. Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays. $25-$26 per hour.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Set up and remove NHL hockey risers and platforms associated with hockey events.
  • Set up and remove NBA basketball risers and platforms associated with basketball events.
  • Set up and remove folding chairs, riser steps, railing depending on the event.
  • Repair and maintenance of retractable and permanent seats.
  • Supervise, motivate, lead and work alongside operations team members.
  • Effectively communicate work assignments to others.
  • Participate in and lead lock out/tag out procedures and other safety precautions.
  • Proactively use all safety mandates and teach others to do the same.
  • Promote a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Strong desire to learn and be productive.
  • Available for event support, as needed.
  • Operate with an emphasis on safety for employees, teams, and guests. 
  • Protect the reputation of the company.

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must possess a valid Utah driver’s license.
  • Must be able to pass a Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) screening in accordance with company policy and insurance requirements.
  • Must be able to pass a drug test.
  • Certified forklift operator required.
  • High School Diploma.
  • 3-4 years of conversion experiences, preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience with platform riser seating systems preferably StageRight systems.
  • Excellent safety record and work ethic.
  • Working knowledge of electrical and mechanical rise system repair, preferred.
  • Complete knowledge of operations procedures to facilitate changeovers.
  • Ability to work long hours and varied schedules (majority overnight conversions).
  • Must be self-motivated and work under little supervision.
  • Strong problem solving skills.

Physical Demands:

  • This person must be able to communicate and express themselves.
  • This person must be able to observe, inspect, estimate, and assess.
  • This person must be able to sit, stand, bend, walk, and climb stairs for long periods of time.
  • This person must be able to lift 50-75 lbs.
