GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB:
The CSC Event Security Supervisor is a frontline leader responsible for overseeing and directing event security staff to ensure the safety and security of guests, employees, and property during large-scale live events. This role combines strong leadership, real-time decision-making, and a commitment to CSC’s standards for guest service, compliance, and incident management. Holding a valid security guard license, CSC Supervisors are expected to lead by example, communicate clearly, monitor team performance, and ensure that any incidents are addressed promptly and professionally to support a safe and successful guest experience.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The duties below reflect the minimum requirements for this position.
Leadership & Staff Oversight
- Supervise a team of up to 10–30+ security staff per shift depending on venue/event.
- Ensure all team members are briefed and deployed correctly, follow post orders, and maintain professionalism.
- Mentor, coach, and support staff performance while reinforcing CSC's expectations in real-time, escalating up chain of command as needed.
- Maintain accountability for staff conduct, appearance, and performance throughout the event.
- Ensure meal break and break policy compliance from all members in deployment within required timeframe.
- Conduct daily briefings and post-shift debriefs as required.
Operational Duties
- Operate entry and guest screening, access control, credential checks, and overall event operations.
- Assist with crowd management, line control, ejections, and incident response.
- Complete and submit required documentation (incident reports, break logs, deployment sheets).
- Ensure meal and rest break compliance for all assigned staff in accordance with California labor laws and CSC policy.
Compliance & Licensing
- Maintain compliance with all required licenses, certifications, and trainings necessary for the Supervisor role.
- Ensure staff members have a valid BSIS Guard Card if their position requires one.
- Enforce compliance with CSC policies, and venue rules.
- Coordinate with event management, command staff, and venue partners to maintain efficient operations.
- Serve as a first-level contact for conflict resolution and de-escalation.
Guest Service & Safety
- Promote a safe, friendly environment for guests and staff.
- Serve as a visible leadership figure and point of contact for guest and CSC concerns.
- Serve as a first-level contact for conflict resolution and de-escalation.
- Work in partnership with venue staff.
Other Responsibilities:
- May use event vehicles “golf carts” when provided for events subject to completion company training.
- Oversee care and return of all issued equipment, including radios, meal break devices, headsets.
- Check that all staff are wearing appropriate uniforms and adhere to company standards at all times.
- Walking significant distances, including up and down stairs, as may be needed to roam throughout the venue.
- Reliable transportation to and from work, with weekend and extended hours.
Education and/or Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Security guard license, guard registration card or other equivalent relative to the State in which supervisor is employed and performs security-related work is required.
- Candidates must have at least one of the following:
- Three years of related work experience.
- Two years of general experience in security, law enforcement or military police.
- Associate or bachelor’s Degree preferred.
