GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB:
The Human Resources Manager is responsible for delivering effective HR leadership and support across CSC’s operations. This role serves as a strategic partner and primary point of contact for HR-related matters, fostering a positive and compliant workplace culture. The HR Manager acts as the face of the Human Resources function, building trust and credibility across all levels of the organization while ensuring alignment with CSC’s mission, values, and business objectives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The duties below reflect the minimum requirements for this position.
  • Create and maintain strong relationships with the leadership team
  • Manage complex employee relations investigations and grievances
  • Prepare disciplinary letters for managers to deliver to employees
  • Provides guidance and counsel to employees and leadership team regarding policies and procedures.
  • Identify improvements and innovative solutions to complex problems and drive forward change
  • Handle Unemployment Insurance claims including court proceedings
  • Focuses on creating a positive employee relations environment and culture
  • Support assigned venue events in a HR capacity, engage with staff, enforce Company compliance of policies and procedures.

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in Human Resources, with 0-2 years of experience in the Human Resources profession, a Human Resources Certification, with 3+ years of HR-related experience may be traded in lieu of a degree
  • Working knowledge of applicable CA Federal and State employment, labor and compliance laws and requirements.
  • Knowledge of HR processes and procedures
  • Must be knowledgeable of investigative techniques, i.e., appropriate method of dealing with complaints, accusations, and grievances.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to handle exposure to sensitive information and maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to anticipate needs, be proactive, and apply sound judgment when making decisions
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills
  • Strong project management skills
  • Excellent organizational skills, with ability to adapt to rapidly changing priorities, juggle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
  • Self-motivated, with ability to work in fast-paced and busy environment
  • Must have high-level of customer service
  • US Citizenship Required
 
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
As a nationwide organization with involvement in many of the world's premier events, the CSC Los Angeles Human Resources Manager may be asked to travel to other branch locations and provide management assistance for such events. Some common annual events include the Super Bowl, World Cup Soccer Events, Olympic Sporting Events Coachella Valley Music Festival, Stagecoach Country Music Festival, Electronic Daisy Carnival (EDC), NFL Playoffs, and various conventions. All travel is paid for by CSC.
