LOCATION: Various Venues across Los Angeles, including but not limited to SoFi Stadium, LA Coliseum, Dignity Health Sports Park, Rose Bowl, City of Long Beach, Kia Forum, UCLA Campus, YouTube Theater, Long Beach City and more
COMPENSATION: $70,304 – $72,000 Annually

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF THE JOB:
The CSC LA Event Manager works with the Branch Manager to implement event operations plans and execute crowd management plans for various venues across San Diego. This position serves as the principal liaison between the CSC LA Internal and External clients to ensure optimal service delivery on all levels, while gaining first-hand experience and exposure to the stadium, arena, and amphitheater event landscape in Los Angeles 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: 
  • Develop staffing plans, deployments, and event operations safety guidelines as directed by senior management. 
  •  Communicates with and “Briefs” event staff, event supervisors, event area directors and other roles as designated. 
  • Must be able to manage over 100 supervisors and staff responsible for event crowd management activities.
  •   Coordinates all event operational details before and after each event, ensuring timely communication and alignment with the appropriate departments.
  •  Interfaces with clients and team representatives to create staffing and operational event plans.
  •  Prepares all paperwork, ensures uniform and equipment requests are submitted, and completes all assigned tasks as planned.
  • Will be present at all major events, with the ability to mitigate any potential issues that may arise.
  •   Coordinate various event operational planning timelines to ensure client deadlines are met.
  •  Must attend meetings and serve as the face of the organization, with the ability to speak on behalf of CSC in coordination with clients' events. 
  •  Create, manage, or edit event manager continuity plans, venue operation manuals, standard operating procedures, or other policy-driven mandates and guidelines.
  •  Works closely with the business development team to provide operational needs for special events and other unique projects.
  •  Create cost estimates, creates jobs in WISH, and manages operational timelines for upcoming projects.
  •   Drives creative initiatives and stimulates employee engagement with marketing and branding opportunities related to upcoming projects and special events at assigned venues
  •  Responds as necessary to inquiries regarding company policies, procedures, and programs involving event manager activities.
  • Travels to various job sites to provide field assistance; assists with additional projects and other branch-related assignments.

REQUIRED SKILLS
  •   General knowledge of computer operation, Microsoft Office Products; Must become proficient in company Workforce Management System. 
  • Ability to maintain good client/customer relations and work in a team setting.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees, applicants, customers, or organization. 
  • Possess good verbal/written communication skills and people management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, high-pressure environment and make sound decisions quickly. 
  • Work necessary hours needed to complete job preparation in addition to event hours. 
  • Walking significant distances, including up and down stairs, as required to roam throughout the venue. 
  •  Complete mandated industry trainings as assigned. 
 
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree preferred; and relevant experience in Event Planning, Event Management, Public Safety or Security Operations. Prior experience working in Live events is preferred with ability to manage upwards of 200+ staff.
 
LANGUAGE ABILITY:
Ability to read, interpret, and communicate training standards, licensing regulations, compliance requirements, and procedural documentation. Ability to communicate effectively with frontline staff, facilitators, management, and executive leadership.
 
MATH ABILITY:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rates, ratios, percentages, and interpret dashboards, charts, and compliance metrics.
 
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply common sense and analytical reasoning to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to manage competing priorities and make sound decisions in a fast-paced operational environment.
 
COMPUTER & EQUIPMENT SKILLS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint. Must become proficient in CSC systems including training, licensing, QA, and workforce platforms (e.g., ClickUp, Monday.com, WISH, SORT, internal LMS tools).
 
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: As a nationwide organization with involvement in many of the world's premier events, the CSC Los Angeles Event Manager may be asked to travel to other branch locations and provide management assistance for such events. Some common annual events include the Coachella Valley Music Festival, Stagecoach Country Music Festival, Electronic Daisy Carnival (EDC), NFL Playoffs, and various conventions. All travel is paid for by CSC.
