GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB:
To direct and manage all human resources needs of the Orlando, Florida branch. Works with the branch manager and office manager to administer policies, programs and services, including legal compliance, employee benefits, employee relations, employment practices, and procedures, by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The duties below reflect the minimum requirements for this position.
·       Advises management in appropriate resolution of employee issues, including disciplinary and termination procedures.
·       Responds to inquiries regarding company policies, procedures, and programs.
·       Identifies legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting by branch office follow compliance with local/state/federal regulations.
·       Recruits, interviews, tests, and selects employees to fill vacant positions.
·       Prepares, processes and maintains employee personnel records, including updating records as needed.
·       Maintains absentee records to include recording hours, time off requests for full-time employees, etc. 
·       Ensure sound employee relations through consistent personal contact.
·       Provide timely, accurate, and professional responses to employee inquiries and concerns.
·       Maintain transparency while handling sensitive or confidential information with discretion.
·       Facilitate open dialogue between branch leadership and branch/field teams.
·       Reviews and completes worker compensation claims and unemployment inquiries as needed. 
·       Assists with new employee procedures, distribution of company policies and handbook changes.
·       Maintain office bulletin boards of required employee postings and information as required by law.
·       Act as a liaison between employees and management to ensure mutual understanding and resolution of workplace issues.
·       Listen actively, ask clarifying questions, and adapt communication style to suit the audience.
·       Maintain general safety program to include conducting periodic inspections and safety programs on a regular basis.
·       Ensures sufficient and complete documentation for all employees within our internal systems. 
·       Reports all unsafe practices to management in writing.
·       Creates and manages all recruiting and hiring events through campaigns, as well as active job posts and social media.
·       Responds to applicant inquiries and coordinates interview schedules while maintaining our internal hiring platform.
·       Create and maintain branch specific training curriculums, forecast calendars, training records, documents, or other related duties.
·       Assist in the development and execution of training goals and learning objectives in accordance with branch directives. 
·       Administers training classes in accordance with branch, corporate, FEMA, Homeland Security, Safety Act, or other directives. 
·       Assist new employees in maintaining compliance with training standards as dictated by local/state and federal laws or the branch office. 
·       Identify improvements and innovative solutions to complex problems, and drive change
·       Provide HR field support with administration and report writing as needed. 
·       Travels to various job sites to provide field assistance; assists with additional projects and other branch-related assignments as needed.
·       Manages the preparation, processing, and file maintenance for employee Guard Card processing, as well as state compliance. 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Directly supervises employees in the office and at client events. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree; and related experience and/or training in human resources, particularly in the crowd management field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE ABILITY:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

MATH AND REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentages, draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

COMPUTER & EQUIPMENT SKILLS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word; Microsoft Excel; Microsoft Explorer; Microsoft Outlook; Microsoft PowerPoint; and Microsoft Share point. Must become proficient on company Protatech Scheduling program and SORT online training program.
