General Purpose of the Job
The Event Coordinator is responsible for managing and overseeing a wide variety of events across multiple city venues, including Temple University and Franklin Music Hall. This role ensures smooth operations by supervising staff, coordinating logistics, and upholding company, client, and venue standards. The Event Coordinator provides leadership to event staff and supervisors while addressing challenges and maintaining a safe, professional, and engaging environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Supervise and guide event staff and supervisors to ensure compliance with company, client, and venue policies.
  •  Lead pre-event briefings and communicate operational expectations.
  •  Coordinate event logistics for sports, concerts, conferences, trade shows, and other large-scale events.
  • Monitor and enforce operating standards and procedures.
  • Ensure all staff are trained, equipped, and prepared for each event.
  • Oversee event set-up, staff check-in, and equipment distribution.
  • Remain onsite throughout events to address issues as they arise.
  • Provide post-event evaluations and feedback.

Other Responsibilities
  • Operate event vehicles (such as golf carts) when trained and approved.
  • Oversee equipment return and uniform compliance.
  • Navigate venues, including extensive walking and stairs.
  • Work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Sports Management, or related field preferred.
  • Strong leadership, supervisory, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to manage high-pressure situations with sound judgment.
  •  Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365.
  • Strong problem-solving and teamwork abilities.
