COMPENSATION: $16.00 per hour, Weekly Payroll

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF THE JOB:
The CSC 24-Hour Security Officer assigned to the University of Kansas Football Stadium is responsible for ensuring the safety and protection of KU property, staff, and visitors during non-event hours. This includes routine patrols, surveillance monitoring, and incident reporting. Officers are expected to maintain a professional presence, assist with authorized access, and respond to incidents as needed.
 
 
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: 
  • Patrol stadium grounds and buildings during assigned shift
  • Monitor alarms, CCTV systems, and access control devices
  • Screen visitors, vehicles, and deliveries entering restricted areas
  • Document incidents in written reports with accurate details
  •  Respond to security and safety emergencies promptly
  • Assist University staff, contractors, and event personnel on-site
  • Maintain communication with supervisors and dispatch during shift
  • Ensure compliance with University of Kansas and CSC policies and protocols
  •  Other duties assigned from CSC Management
 
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Valid security license (or ability to obtain one in Kansas)
  • Previous security or law enforcement experience preferred
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods and work outdoors in various conditions
  •  Strong communication and report writing skills
  •  Must be available for overnight and weekend shifts

 

REQUIRED SKILLS
  • General knowledge of computer operation, Microsoft Office Products; Must become proficient in company Workforce Management System. 
  • Ability to maintain good client/customer relations and work in a team setting.
  •  Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees, applicants, customers, or organization. 
  •  Possess good verbal/written communication skills and people management skills.
  •  Ability to work in a fast paced, high-pressure environment and make sound decisions quickly. 
  •  Work necessary hours needed to complete job preparation in addition to event hours. 
  •  Walking significant distances, including up and down stairs, as required to roam throughout the venue. 
  •  Complete mandated industry trainings as assigned. 
 
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
Opportunities may arise for travel to support other CSC branches and major regional events, including basketball games, concerts, and festivals. All travel expenses will be covered by CSC.
