Based in Philadelphia, Spectacor Events & Entertainment (SEE) is a division of Comcast NBCUniversal and the owner of the Wells Fargo Center, Philadelphia Flyers, and other properties. SEE collaborates with internal partners and external clients to produce Tinseltown Holiday Spectacular.

Tinseltown Holiday Spectacular is a 30+ day walk-through light show experience that includes ice skating, a holiday marketplace, food and beverage, and more. In 2023, Tinseltown is moving to FDR Park in South Philadelphia. This annual event is the cornerstone of our event portfolio and SEE is working to build on its success to grow Tinseltown each year.

The SEE intern will be involved in all aspects of event planning, event operations, customer service, event staff management, marketing initiatives as well as administrative duties. Interns will gain experiential learning on how to produce large-scale events and have the opportunity to work with various departments within Comcast Spectacor on execution. The ideal candidate must be able to collaborate on projects and demonstrate the ability to be detail orientated in a fast-paced environment. This is a paid internship and in-person in Philadelphia, PA.

Qualifications:

· Current college juniors, seniors, or graduate students.

· Must be dependable, polite, personable, and outgoing.

· Must have excellent attention to detail, customer service skills and research capabilities.

· Must have a knowledge and interest in live events and entertainment industries.

· Applicants must be willing to get involved in projects with varying degrees of difficulty.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.

Event Night Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

· Work Tinseltown event nights, which is held outdoors in December in most weather conditions.

· Nights and weekends are required, ideally candidate works all Tinseltown event nights.

· Internship is based at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, PA in June – October then on site at the event in FDR Park in November and December.

Office responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

· Assist in all preparation and execution of Tinseltown Holiday Spectacular as well as other assignments as they arise.

· Assist in customer service inquiries ensuring all our guests are responded to in a timely manner, with professionalism and enthusiasm.

· Attend meetings, build templates, and research service providers and manage other administrative duties as assigned.

· Brainstorm new and unique concepts to bring value and additional revenue to Tinseltown.

· Assist with event staff management, sponsorship activation, production, ticketing and marketing.

· Be prepared to step in at all levels on-site, be able to “roll up your sleeves.”

· Occasional “lifting” is required for events, event preparation, inventory maintenance and event load in, operational nights and load-out.
