Job Summary

The Group Sales Intern will play an active role in supporting the Flyers Group Sales Department and Xfinity Mobile Arena events, with a strong focus on delivering exceptional fan experiences. This position offers the opportunity to lead arena tours, assist with group game-night operations, research and develop new leads, and participate in on-site activations. Interns will gain direct exposure to the group sales process while learning how to engage diverse audiences, support client events, and contribute to overall sales efforts within a fast-paced sports and entertainment environment.

Job Description

Qualifications: College Juniors, Seniors, or Graduate students. Applicants can receive college credit, though it is not a requirement. Applicant must be willing to get involved in projects with varying degrees of difficulty.  Ability to use Microsoft Excel and Word computer program required.  Excellent written and verbal communication skills is a must. Experience or interest in sales is preferred. 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Assist the Group Sales Department alongside Philadelphia Flyers and Xfinity Mobile Arena Events.
• Lead the Xfinity Mobile Arena Tour Program by being an engaging and informative tour guide providing guests with a memorable experience.
• Research and identify target markets, organizations, and potential group leads to support sales outreach.
• Update and maintain accurate records in the group sales database and CRM system.
• Support Philadelphia Flyers Group Sales game night operations, including hosting and coordinating with groups participating in special experiences (e.g., ice times, fan tunnels, group photos).
• Participate in on-site activations, sales events, and group leader events to provide outstanding customer service.
• Gain hands-on experience in sports and entertainment group sales by shadowing account executives and contributing to team projects.
• Perform all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
