Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Human Resources Business Partner to support and collaborate with our event staff. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing HR guidance and operational support to ensure our event based teams are effectively recruited, managed, and developed in alignment with our organizational goals and values.  This role supports event based employees at the Wells Fargo Center, the schedule for this role will vary but will night and weekend availability is required.  
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Employee Relations: Serve as a trusted advisor and point of contact for event day staff on HR-related matters. Address employee concerns, grievances, and disciplinary issues in a fair and timely manner. Foster a positive work environment by promoting open communication and resolving conflicts. 

  • Talent Acquisition and Onboarding: Collaborate with hiring managers and the talent acquisition team to recruit frontline staff, ensuring job descriptions are accurate and business needs are being met. Coordinate and facilitate onboarding programs to ensure a smooth integration into the organization. 

  • Training and Development: Identify training needs and develop programs to enhance the skills and capabilities of event employees. Monitor training effectiveness and encourage continuous learning and development. 

  • Policy and Compliance: Interpret and enforce company policies and procedures consistently. Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations, taking proactive steps to mitigate risks. 

  • Employee Engagement and Retention: Develop and implement initiatives to improve frontline staff engagement and retention. Conduct surveys and gather feedback to assess employee satisfaction and identify areas for improvement.

  • HR Analytics and Reporting: Compile and analyze HR metrics (e.g., turnover rates, employee engagement scores) to inform decision-making and drive HR strategies for frontline staff. 

  • Collaboration and Relationship Building: Build strong relationships with managers and staff to understand their needs and challenges.
 
Requirements 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent years of experience.  
  • Proven experience (5-7) as an HR Business Partner or similar role, preferably supporting frontline or operational teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels.
  • Previous experience working with labor unions
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) and other HR-related software.
