Comcast Spectacor oversees the Wells Fargo Center and its major transformation project, the Philadelphia Flyers, the Philadelphia Wings lacrosse team, the Maine Mariners hockey team, the Flyers Training Center, Comcast Spectacor is headquartered at the Wells Fargo Center (WFC) in Philadelphia, PA. The WFC, the 4th most highly attended arena nationally and 7th most attended in the world is home to 270+ events per year, including the Philadelphia Flyers, Philadelphia 76ers, Philadelphia Wings, Villanova, concerts, and events. Comcast Spectacor is a wholly owned subsidiary of Comcast and maintains connected and disconnected networks within the Wells Fargo Center. 
 
Responsibilities: 
Responsible for incorporating operational and compliance monitoring of security controls and policies, reconciling security events, escalation of security and control violations, risk assessment and risk management principles, technology requirements gathering, and asset management. Supports the business units within Comcast Spectacor by:

  • Acts as liaison between Comcast Spectacor application owners and Comcast GTO (formerly TPX) to ensure compliance with security controls and policies. 
  • Oversees and assists with internal and external IT/security audit program development, coordination, and remediation. Coordinates internal/external vulnerability scans and assessments. Reviews results and tracks remediation.
  • Ensures evidence collection methods are conducted, managed, and archived in a manner consistent with provided guidelines, to maintain preservation and protection of data and evidence.
  • Modify procedures related to the Information Security processes factoring Comcast Spectacor’s unique business and organizational structure. 
  • Supports technology procurement and provides security requirements support for new projects and technology initiatives including identification of emerging technologies to meet business requirements.
  • Supports CGA and GTO assessments and remediation of business application security controls. Summarizes findings for senior executives.
  • Develops consistent and repeatable processes to increase efficiency of tasks and other requests and to reduce burden on business application owners.
  • Works diligently with other parties to include GTO, GRC, and application owners to ensure security and compliance issues are addressed and resolved in a timely fashion.
  • Compiles metrics for information security incidents and requests to allow for trending to assist in reviews of current processes, identify awareness needs and facilitate measurement of continuous improvement.
  • Ensures security controls are properly administered and maintained. Participates in the implementation of IT security controls aiming at protecting company information assets. Performs regular risk analysis to proactively identify and assesses potential items of risk and opportunities of vulnerability in the IT environment.
  • Maintains compliance programs, IT Exception reviews, audit comment closure and continuous monitoring activities.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
 
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Proven track record in collaborating with various departments and staffing level.
  • Ability to translate technical requirements to non-technical colleagues.
  • Agile problem solver with the willingness to roll up their sleeves when needed. Able to think strategically but also be hands-on and pay attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and work on multiple projects with varying stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills to manage internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience in drafting standard operating procedures. 
  • Experience in facilitating requirements gathering sessions and assessing applications based on requirements. 
  • Organizational awareness with ability to influence stakeholders to achieve results.
  • Strong technical background is a must.   
  • Knowledge of NIST controls is highly desirable. 
  • Prior experience with Application and Data Architecture is highly desirable.
