POSITION: Operations & Sustainability Manager

SALARY RANGE: $55,000-$65,000/year

Position Summary
The Operations & Sustainability Manager is responsible for overseeing the safe and effective setup of all events at U.S. Bank Stadium, working in close collaboration with the Facility Operations Manager and the Operations Crew. This role also leads the development, coordination, and execution of sustainability initiatives across all stadium operations.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Operations Management
• Manage the setup and breakdown of all events at U.S. Bank Stadium, including but not limited to:
o NFL games, NCAA events, concerts, conventions, trade shows, meetings, receptions, and banquets.
• Coordinate setup of stages, risers, field coverings, stairs, railings, field goal posts, foul poles, fencing, soccer nets, portable dugouts, bases, and other related equipment.
• Oversee conversions of club spaces and field areas from game-day layouts to setups for meetings, banquets, galas, and other functions, including furniture setup and teardown.
• Verify completed setups and accurately record data in the event tracking system.
• Serve as a liaison between management and the operations crew, ensuring smooth communication and execution.
Staff Supervision
• Assist with recruitment, hiring, and scheduling of the operations crew.
• Provide direct supervision, including training, coaching, and conducting corrective actions when necessary.
• Promote a positive and productive work environment for all staff members.
Event Coordination
• Collaborate with Event Managers and Event Coordinators to plan, execute, and follow up on event logistics.
• Ensure all setups align with event specifications and safety standards.
Sustainability Initiatives
• Lead and manage sustainability efforts on behalf of U.S. Bank Stadium.
• Collaborate with all departments and vendors to define, implement, and track sustainability goals.
• Represent the stadium in sustainability-related partnerships, programs, and initiatives.
• Draft and submit sustainability reports for internal and external stakeholders, including the City of Minneapolis.
• Research and recommend best practices and new innovations in sustainability.
• Participate in professional development, sustainability conferences, and networking opportunities to stay current on industry trends.
General Responsibilities
• Attend all required training and professional development sessions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills
• Follow and give verbal and written instructions and communicate effectively with others.
• Maintain an effective working relationship with clients, employees, exhibitors, patrons, and others while working
• Ability to work flexible hours based on event schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Physical ability to perform tasks that may require prolonged standing, stooping, lifting, and walking. Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work inside or outside environments as necessary
• Proficiency with general office PC applications
Minimum Education & Experience
• High school diploma or GED required; additional education or certifications a plus.
• Previous experience working with NFL events or similar large-scale sports and entertainment events preferred.
• Experience developing, leading, or supporting sustainability initiatives.
• 30-Hour OSHA Training certification perferred.
