Fishers Event Center has an excellent and immediate opening for an Assistant Food and Beverage Manager. This position is responsible for support of all Fishers Event Center technology functions on a day-to-day basis.  This person will be responsible for identification, training, and support for all systems and applications needs of the Fisher Event Center’s staff, and will serve as a liaison with ASM Global Corporate Technology Departments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Support IT application and technology needs for all ASM Global staff
  • Development of protocols for staff technology usage.
  • Develop, configure, test, and troubleshoot advanced CATV systems and related software/hardware components and infrastructure.
  • Assist in installation and maintenance of wired and wireless network and/or server/client solutions and related software/hardware components and infrastructure.
  • Troubleshooting and upgrading POS hardware, maintaining equipment transfer records, communicating with dispatchers, and solving technical problems.
  • Function as a liaison with ASM Global IT Department regarding corporate applications and systems issues.
  • Report creation and writing for business analysis purposes.
  • Assistance in development of marketing and business presentation technology-related projects.
  • Training and support for Microsoft Office usage by staff.
  • Identification and implementation of other software applications to enhance productivity and efficiency.
  • Provide necessary information for the proper purchase of preventative and corrective maintenance of equipment and systems.
  • Respond to routine and emergency calls and make necessary repairs.
  • Provide event related maintenance, services, and support.
  • Troubleshooting of application and network problems.
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • This position will work with limited supervision and will require the ability to interact with all levels of staff including management.  
  • Requires ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and holidays, in addition to normal business hours. 

Education and/or Experience          
  • BA degree in Computer Sciences or related field preferred
  • At least 3 years of IT support experience.

Skills and Abilities  
  • Strong knowledge of business office applications and systems.
  • Knowledge of report writing applications.
  • Must have communication skills and keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to translate non-technical needs communication into technical development capabilities.
  • Excellent organizational, planning, communication and inter-personal skills.
  • Ability to undertake and complete multiple tasks.
  • Knowledge of wireless technology applications and interface availability.
  • Working knowledge of Palm OS and Windows CE capabilities and support.
  • Proficiency in Windows XP support.
  • Proficiency in LAN and Windows NT support.
  • Extreme proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications. 

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Preferred
  • MCP (Microsoft Certified Professional)
  • MCSE (Microsoft Certified System Engineer)
  • MCSA (Microsoft Certified System Administrator)
