Warehouse Supervisor - Glen Helen Amp.
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for coordinating and executing warehouse operations and procedures to ensure departmental effectiveness and efficiency so that all product, supply and equipment needs are met throughout the venue. Under the direction of the Warehouse Manager, this individual will support the planning and preparation process for events, including the distribution and transfer of product to concession locations, assigning tasks, and delegating responsibilities to warehouse staff.
A primary responsibility of this position will be maintaining inventory control and accountability for all products entering and leaving the warehouse. The Warehouse Supervisor will take a lead role in conducting monthly inventory counts, audits, reconciliations, and inventory-related processes to ensure accuracy and accountability throughout all warehouse and operating locations. This individual will be responsible for learning and utilizing the venue's inventory management software to effectively manage products, stands, storage locations, transfers, and inventory reporting within the system.
The Warehouse Supervisor will work closely with the Operations Supervisor to coordinate event preparation, delegate responsibilities, maintain operational standards, and ensure deadlines are met. Both the Warehouse Supervisor and Operations Supervisor will report directly to the Venue Manager.
A top priority will be to ensure that the highest levels of safety, organization, sanitation, inventory accuracy, and product accountability are maintained throughout all warehousing and storage areas.
• Ensure the control procedures are being used for cataloging, inventory control, bulk storage and distribution of materials, equipment and supplies and assist in maintaining this supply system.
• Coordinate all warehousing activities with management team.
• Receive store and distribute supplies and equipment in large centralized warehousing operations.
• Use storage systems, policies and procedures to ensure maximum use and efficiency of space and storage areas in warehousing operations.
• Conduct monthly inventory counts, cycle counts, reconciliations and inventory audits to ensure inventory accuracy and accountability.
• Maintain inventory check and balance procedures between warehouse operations and concession locations to ensure accurate inventory movement, product accountability and inventory control.
• Ensure First-In, First-Out (FIFO) inventory practices are consistently followed to minimize spoilage, waste and product expiration.
• Perform quality control inspections of food and beverage products to verify freshness, proper storage conditions and product integrity.
• Submit reports of damage, outdated stock or supplies, over and under shipments, return of goods to vendor, etc.
• Contact vendors to reconcile invoice discrepancies, shortages, over shipments or to arrange for emergency shipments or requisitions.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable health and safety regulations.
• Perform other related duties, tasks and responsibilities as required from time to time.
Pay rate: $25 to $30/hr
Qualifications:
• High school degree.
• Two years’ experience in the receipt, storage, distribution or inventory control of food and beverage, supplies or equipment, including experience conducting monthly inventory counts, inventory reconciliations and inventory audits.
• At least 2 year at the supervisory level in an entertainment or convention center venue.
• Working knowledge of inventory control procedures, inventory accountability, inventory movement tracking and variance identification.
• Experience utilizing First-In, First-Out (FIFO) inventory management practices and maintaining product quality standards.
• Ability to promote and participate in a team environment.
• Ability to understand written and oral direction and to communicate same with others.
• Requires occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds in weight (boxes).
• Hours are often extended or irregular to include nights, weekends and holidays.
