Legends Global, a leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for a Groundskeeper at the Long Beach Amphitheater. This position supports both grounds maintenance and venue cleanliness to ensure the facility remains safe, clean, and guest-ready at all times.
The Groundskeeper is responsible for assisting the Grounds Lead in maintaining the overall appearance of the venue by performing landscaping support, general exterior cleaning, and event-related cleanup. Duties include the use of tools, equipment, and approved chemicals in accordance with all safety procedures and operational standards.

Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Dig holes for plants and trees using hand tools such as shovels and picks
Mix soil, fertilizer, and other materials to prepare planting areas
Plant trees, shrubs, and flowers in designated locations
Stake and secure newly planted trees using ties or wire
Haul, spread, and level topsoil using wheelbarrows, rakes, and similar tools
Water lawns, plants, and landscaped areas using hoses or portable irrigation systems
Apply fertilizer or seed to support turf and plant growth
Perform basic lawn care including mowing, edging, trimming, and hedge maintenance
Operate landscaping and grounds maintenance equipment as required
Perform routine cleaning of exterior venue areas including plazas, walkways, and entrances
Remove trash, debris, and recyclables before, during, and after events
Empty and maintain trash and recycling receptacles throughout the property
Conduct post-event cleanup, including sweeping and resetting exterior areas
Perform spot cleaning or power washing of hard surfaces as needed
Assist with light debris removal and general site presentation tasks
Report safety hazards, spills, or maintenance concerns promptly
Support Conversion and Event Operations teams during event turnover periods
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
QualificationsEducation and Experience
High school diploma or GED preferred
1–2 years of experience in landscaping, groundskeeping, custodial work, or facility maintenance
Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered
Skills and Abilities
Ability to follow instructions and work with minimal supervision
Basic knowledge of landscaping tools, cleaning equipment, and power tools
Ability to read and follow chemical and fertilizer labels safely
Strong attention to cleanliness, safety, and detail
Good communication and teamwork skills
Ability to work weekends, holidays, and event-based schedules
Regular outdoor work in varying weather conditions
Frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, and lifting
Ability to lift and/or move up to 50–100 pounds as required
Exposure to outdoor elements, noise, and event environments
Must be able to perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods
