VENUE/PROPERTY INFO

The Director of Premium Sales & Service role is located at KFC Yum! Center in Louisville, KY. The KFC Yum! Center is a multi-purpose arena that attracts approximately one million fans to ticketed events annually. It boasts a total of 721,762 square feet while offering an arena bowl exceeding 22,000 seats and currently nine bars and lounges all within walking distance of more than 6,000 hotel rooms in downtown Louisville. It is home to the University of Louisville men’s and women’s basketball programs and attracts several top grossing concerts and events annually. The KFC Yum! Center is a state-of-the-art facility with advanced technology capabilities that is owned by the Louisville Arena Authority and managed by Legends Global.

THE ROLE

As the Director of Premium Sales & Service at KFC Yum! Center you are responsible for driving revenue growth through the sale of premium seating and its assets – boxes, suites, exclusive memberships, lounges, etc. Your role involves developing and executing strategic initiatives to maximize revenue for seasonal and multi-year agreements, as well as single event rentals. You will target both corporate clients and individual customers, leveraging your proven track record in sales to cultivate new business relationships while maintaining existing client accounts. Your innovation is key to enhancing the guest experiences and elevating the value of premium seating and experiences at KFC Yum! Center. As a senior sales expert, you are committed to the financial well-being and growth of the Premium Sales & Service program and the guests who participate in it. Your contributions will drive revenue, provide learning and growth opportunities for your support staff and contribute to seamless collaboration with various departments of the KFC Yum! Center, Home Office and appropriate stakeholders/partners including collaboration with the University of Louisville.

ESSENTIAL DUTES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Exceptional leadership qualities and a commitment to fostering an outbound sales culture are imperative for success. The Director of Premium Sales & Service will play an instrumental role in guiding KFC Yum! Center through the annual strategic planning and budgeting processes to maximize short- and long-term opportunities. This process will include the creation and implementation of marketing plans, sales trainings, event optimization plans and outbound sales efforts. It is the responsibility of the Director of Premium Sales & Service to ensure KPIs are being measured and achieved and that company initiatives are being implemented. The Director will be responsible for ensuring that contract procedures are followed and working with the venue’s Finance Department to ensure invoices are sent and payment received. This position will be responsible for managing the creation of reports as required. This role will also look to establish opportunities for cross-selling between multiple verticals within KFC Yum! Center. This position is expected to be a great ambassador of the KFC Yum! Center that interacts withs the public well.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with all Legends Global policies and applicable laws. In collaboration with the KFC Yum! Center General Manager and Legends Global leadership, responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty with energy and enthusiasm. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE     

A minimum of ten (10) years in a sales and service industry is required, preferably in entertainment and/or a high-value, high-touch point industry, with a minimum of five (5) years in team leadership.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Exceptional sales skills including creating and presenting sales decks, upselling into long-term contracts, negotiation and overcoming objections.

  • Experience maintaining senior-level relationships with clients and colleagues alike
  • Experience using various sales tools including CRM, lead generation programs, etc.
  • Ability to forecast revenues, accurately assess risk and use data to inform strategy
