ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and maintain a local customer base.
  • Train all other catering managers.
  • Responsible to produce Banquet Event Orders for all events.
  • Develop proposals for potential clients and follow through on pending bookings.
  • Entertain prospective clients of the Center.
  • Report daily to the General Manager or Food & Beverage Director information on potential sales leads and existing client relations.
  • Maintains an active role in local hospitality community and professional associations.
  • Attend in-house event-related meetings and relays immediate changes with other departments.
  • Develop menus and other projects.
  • Generate revenue and provide excellent personal service to our internal and external guests.
  • Coordinate groups and events throughout the facility, ensuring availably, times, catering needs, and other special needs of the guests.
  • Support the facility sales team by participating in outside sales calls, networking, phone coverage, attending trade shows, and travel.
  • Provide detailed event analysis to support, maintain and/or improve company goals and guest satisfaction.
  • Ensure a successful client event by routine and thorough checking of food standards, room set up and on-time service with the result of client satisfaction. Resolve any client concerns.
  • Update and maintain file information for repeat events with total Food & Beverage revenues and client relations.
  • Update all details of the events to operations staff.
  • Practice continuous efforts toward menu upgrades and increased services.
  • Prepare, present and manage revenue and marketing expense budget
  • Plan and oversee Catering budget, contracts, billing and event execution.
  • Develop analytical reports monitoring effectiveness of tactics and create weekly sales reports to track and measure results to goals.
  • Prepare monthly forecasts for Catering Sales and unspecified potentials.
  • Professionally develop and supervise sales staff. Insure sufficient phone and site tour coverage.
  • Analyze and review customer service surveys
  • Develop promotions, and coordination of menus, staging and implementation of events.
  • Maintain relationships with the facility sales teams as well as other facility stakeholders.
  • Participate in community functions, civic and social.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE     

  • Knowledge of sales and marketing principles necessary to promote the Center.
  • At least (6) years of practical sales experience in a special event facility.
  • Advanced oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong orientation to customer service and ability to work with other staff members in the facility.
  • Results oriented individual with the ability to meet required sales goals.
  • Excellent organizational, planning, communication and inter-personal skills.
  • Ability to undertake and complete multiple tasks.
  • Excellent computer skills.

COMPENSATION

Competitive salary range of $120,000 - $130,000 commensurate with experience, and a generous benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, paid vacation, and 401k plan.
