Custodial Staff
Part-time, Hourly
POSITION SUMMARY:
General cleaning and upkeep of common spaces, restrooms, service support areas, offices, banquet halls, theaters, meeting rooms, and other areas within the facility.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Cleaning public areas including, but not limited to, restrooms, elevators, stairs, glass railings, windows, and other general cleaning tasks as needed
- General cleaning of employee areas and service support areas
- Vacuuming, dusting, and trash removal in all areas
- Floor maintenance including scrubbing, mopping, burnishing and other floor tasks as needed
- Completing custodial checklists as necessary
- Ensuring proper use and care of cleaning equipment and machines
- Working with and directing work efforts of part time/temporary personnel
- Other duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and REQUIREMENTS:
- Due to the varied nature of events, availability on nights, weekends and holidays may be required
- Must be able to work independently as well as direct work efforts of others
- Ability to read and follow directions is a must
- Ability to bend, twist and lift 25 lbs regularly is required
- Must be able to follow proper work procedures and safety requirements
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment and perform simple repairs is helpful
