Corporate Accountant

Position Summary
Edge Sports Global is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Corporate Accountant to support the company’s accounting and financial reporting functions. This role will be responsible for assisting with the monthly close process within NetSuite, maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reconciliations, and supporting day-to-day accounting operations across the organization.
The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multiple entities, departments, and deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist with the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process within NetSuite
• Prepare and post journal entries accurately and in a timely manner
• Reconcile general ledger accounts, bank accounts, and balance sheet accounts
• Support the review and maintenance of financial records to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and intercompany accounting activities as needed
• Review transactions for proper coding and classification
• Help maintain supporting schedules and documentation for month-end close
• Assist in preparing internal financial reports and supporting management reporting needs
• Work with department leaders to gather financial information and resolve discrepancies
• Support external accountants, auditors, and finance leadership with requested documentation
• Help ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and accounting procedures
• Assist with ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as assigned
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
• 2+ years of accounting experience preferred
• Experience with NetSuite strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of general accounting principles and month-end close procedures
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across departments
• Experience in multi-entity or multi-location environments is a plus
Preferred Skills
• Knowledge of accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, and account reconciliations
• Ability to identify discrepancies and recommend solutions
• Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Reporting Structure
This position reports to the Controller and works closely with the finance and operations teams to support accurate and timely financial reporting
