The Role:
Provides excellent guest service by preparing and serving concession items, processing transactions accurately, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. This role supports efficient stand operations during events and ensures positive guest experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide friendly, courteous, and efficient customer service to all guests.
- Prepare and serve concession food and beverage items according to established procedures and portion standards.
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems to process transactions accurately, including cash, credit, and other payment methods.
- Collect payment and provide correct change to guests.
- Accurately enter all sales into the register to ensure proper recording of transactions.
- Verify identification for guests purchasing alcohol in accordance with company policy and regulations.
- Suggestively sell and upsell items on the menu to enhance guest experience and increase sales.
- Maintain proper food handling, sanitation, and safety standards at all times.
- Stock and replenish food, beverages, and supplies during service.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, including counters, equipment, and service stations.
- Perform opening and closing duties, including cleaning, storing products, and removing trash and recyclables.
- Assist with stand setup and breakdown for events.
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure efficient service during high-volume events.
- Follow company policies, procedures, and health and safety guidelines.
- Other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience
- High School degree/GED or equivalent is required.
- Previous customer service, retail, food service, or hospitality experience preferred.
- Experience handling cash or operating a point-of-sale (POS) system preferred.
- Experience in a high-volume or event-based environment is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices preferred.
- Responsible alcohol service certification required where applicable (or ability to obtain).
Skills and Abilities
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally and courteously with guests.
- Ability to operate a cash register or POS system and handle transactions accurately.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and making change.
- Ability to follow company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
- Strong teamwork skills and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to follow directions and complete tasks efficiently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining speed and accuracy during high-volume service.
- Strong communication skills and ability to understand instructions and guest requests in English.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities, schedules, and operational needs.
- Ability to maintain cleanliness, organization, and sanitation standards.

- This position requires stooping and lifting. Substantial standing, walking, pushing and or pulling of equipment.
- Daily lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. up to 10 minutes at a time.
- Constant reaching, standing, walking, and stooping.
- Performing work through repetitive eye/hand coordination
- Position requires walking and standing regularly.
- Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
- Must be able to work extended and/or irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
