ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
The Box Office Supervisor assists the Box Office Manager and Assistant Manager on a part-time, on-call basis during performance dates in overseeing the daily operation of the Box Office and its staff for the Tucson Convention Center, including the Tucson Arena, Linda Ronstadt Music Hall, and Leo Rich Theater. The ideal candidate will have proven experience of processing orders and payments and providing unsurpassed customer and guest service.
- Act as the on-site Box Office representative on the day of events for all changes, artist/promoter/VIP program needs.
- Open and/or close ticket window and sell tickets as needed.
- Work with Box Office Management to prepare cash bank and daily accurate inventory of all tickets distributed and available for sale.
- Provide all guests a positive first impression by offering superior guest service.
- Respond to customer complaints and service requests to maintain a positive rapport with the ticket buying public.
- Maintain communication with Ticketmaster for any updates and/or revisions within the setting-up of the ticketing system for day-of selling.
- Process/fill approved charity tickets requests; document all complimentary tickets issued.
- Ensure staff follow proper cash handling procedures and maintain proper cash controls.
- Oversee proper balancing of daily sales for each ticket seller regarding the number of tickets sold, money received from ticket sellers and the seller’s bank at the end of the day.
- Establish and maintain positive, effective working relationships with the staff, show promoter and other show personnel.
- Maintain accurate record of daily balance of cash received, tickets sold and change bank/vault; supervises preparation of the end of day bank deposits.
- Fill reservations for seats by telephone or mail, handles Will-Call window according to procedures.
- Processes group sales orders, complimentary ticket requests, suite and club orders and all internal ticket requests, as required, for day-of sales.
- Works in tandem with venue Finance to provide appropriate ticket and merchandise audit details and reporting for final settlement.
- Performs all other duties as required.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Assists Box Office Management with day-of oversight of Ticket Sellers. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Legends Global’s policies and applicable laws. Assists in training employees; assigning, and directing work; disciplining employees in conjunction with Human Resources; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- A minimum of 1 to 2 years of Box Office / Ticketing experience, preferably with a performing arts, convention center, sports facility, or other multi-purpose public assembly facility.
- Familiarity with ticketing software, preferably Ticketmaster.
- Knowledge of terminology and principles used in Box Office/Sales settings.
- Combination of education and experience may be accepted.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Ability to work beyond normal business hours as required, based on event calendar.
- Strong listening skills and oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to be on feet or seated for long periods of time.
- Knowledge of operation services and activities of, arena, public assembly facility or convention center programs preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and word processing, spreadsheets, database, presentation, PowerPoint, and Internet software.
- Knowledge of principles of finance audit and reporting, specifically with ticketing and sales.
- Work a flexible schedule including early mornings, days, evenings, overnight, weekends, holidays, extended (long) work days and extended number of days.
COMPENSATION
Competitive hourly rate, commensurate with experience.
