PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervise the daily operations of the box office for Huntington Center and as needed for the Glass City Center.
- Prepare and consolidate sales receipts from ticket sales for each day as well as provide the accounting dept. with the reconciled daily sales Spreadsheet.
- Assist in recruiting, hiring, training and supervising all part-time box office personnel on the ticketing system and other aspects of ticket operations.
- Process ticket requests including internal orders as well as ticketing requests from show promotors.
- Assists in additional show duties as needed, including but not limited to placing holds, releasing holds, building shows as directed.
- Understand how to prepare the box office statement for settlement in the absence of the Box Office Manager.
- Demonstrates excellent customer service skills, responds promptly to requests for assistance and service, and handles most box office questions without assistance.
- On event days be a liaison to the ushers & ticket takers and help ensure accurate ticket scanning as well as other front of house tasks
- Maintain an open and positive relationship with the Marketing & Operations Departments. Relay sales and attendance information and ensure each event has an accurate sales pattern.
- Work extended and/or irregular hours, including nights, weekends & holidays.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Operate ticketing system, standard office equipment and personal computer using Windows, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Maintain a confident and professional demeanor at all times, exercising discretion and confidentiality regarding all sensitive matters. Create a positive and constructive working relationship with clients, employees, patrons and others.
- Handle/reconcile large sums of money utilizing prescribed cash management controls
- Remain flexible and adjust to situations as they occur.
- Work in a fast-paced environment and handle a heavy workload at certain times
- Must be able to move about efficiently throughout arena and in between buildings
QUALIFICATIONS AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's Degree preferred, with a minimum of 1 year of office work or other relevant customer service work experience.
- Accounting, customer service, and supervisory experience is essential.
- Experience working with Ticketmaster and supervising Ticketmaster sales is a plus.
- Successful completion of a background and credit check.
