Overview
Northwell Health Ice Center is looking for responsible, enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Ice Rink Monitors. As an Ice Rink Monitor, you will ensure the safety and enjoyment of our patrons by monitoring the ice rink during public skating sessions and providing excellent customer service. This is a part-time position with flexible hours, perfect for those who enjoy a dynamic, fun environment.
Overview
Northwell Health Ice Center is looking for responsible, enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Ice Rink Monitors. As an Ice Rink Monitor, you will ensure the safety and enjoyment of our patrons by monitoring the ice rink during public skating sessions and providing excellent customer service. This is a part-time position with flexible hours, perfect for those who enjoy a dynamic, fun environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Observe skaters, monitor ice conditions, look for safety issues and ensure all guests are following the skaters code of conduct.
- If necessary, assist skaters in need of help, including children and beginners
- Monitor ice conditions and report any issues to management
- Respond to any incidents or accidents promptly and provide basic first aid when necessary
- Help maintain a clean and safe environment, including organizing and maintaining equipment, removal of trash and floor sweeping
- Provide excellent customer service, answering any questions patrons may have
- Assist with skate rentals and returns, as needed
- Support rink staff in preparing for public sessions, events, and other activities
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 16 years old
- Strong skating skills are required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to stay calm and respond effectively in emergencies
- First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain) is a plus
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
