The Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum is seeking dedicated individuals who are committed to learning about and delivering the needs of a world-class sporting and entertainment venue. Individuals who will excel in these positions will be responsible to handle day-to-day operational tasks while creating a positive environment for our patrons and staff.

As the home for USC Trojans football since 1923, the Coliseum also plays host to concerts, international soccer matches, food festivals, and numerous other events. The Coliseum just completed a $315 million-dollar renovation that has ushered in a new era of service as we continue to strive to be “The Greatest Stadium in the World.”

Resource employees are hourly, non-exempt employees and cannot work for the university more than 1,000 hours within a rolling 12-month period.

The Opportunity:
This position provides event operations support with experience in event-related technical tasks, including the use of equipment management systems. It maintains a high level of organization when managing inventory such as uniforms and event equipment, ensuring accurate distribution and tracking. The role requires working effectively as part of a team with strong communication skills, including the use of two-way radios to support event coordination. This position assists with staff check-in processes, completes post-event reporting, and offers flexible support to meet the changing needs of events.

The Accountabilities:
  • Maintain a high standard of organization to effectively manage event equipment, staff uniforms, and personnel requirements.
  • Coordinate the distribution, tracking, and return of event equipment, including microphones, headsets, ticket scanners, radios, and wands.
  • Provide flexible operational support to the events team by assisting with a variety of tasks as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth and efficient event operations.
  • Manage employee check-in at designated entry points and issue wristbands in accordance with event protocols.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally using two-way radios to support real-time event coordination.
  • Complete post-event documentation and reports, including tracking missing, damaged, or unreturned equipment.
  • Issue, monitor, and maintain accurate records of employee uniforms to ensure accountability and organization.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or requested. The University reserves the right to add or change duties at any time.

The Qualifiers:
  • Minimum Education: High School diploma or equivalent combined experience.
  • Minimum Field of Expertise: Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Basic computer knowledge. Ability to work independently, prioritize, and meet strict deadlines.

What We Prefer:
  • Demonstrated strong proficiency with computers and technology.
  • Ability to lift 40 pounds.
  • Relevant experience or demonstrated ability to perform the job responsibilities.
  • Flexible Schedule around events held in the facility. May be required to work weekends, evenings, and/or holidays.
  • Combination of experience, skills, and training that demonstrates the ability to perform the role.
  • Prior experience in event support, customer service, or similar roles preferred.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Understand both verbal and written instructions in English.

The hourly rate for this position is $17.87.
