Position Summary

The Corporate Partnerships & Business Development Manager is responsible for generating revenue through the sale and renewal of premium seating products, corporate partnerships, sponsorships, and group sales opportunities at the Mountain America Center. This position serves as the primary relationship manager for assigned corporate partners, suite and loge holders, and premium seating customers while actively developing new business opportunities throughout the region.

Working closely with the Director of Ticketing and venue leadership, this role is responsible for prospecting, cultivating, and retaining corporate relationships that enhance the guest experience and drive venue revenue. The Corporate Partnerships & Business Development Manager maintains an active sales pipeline, oversees sponsorship fulfillment, supports premium sales strategies, and serves as an ambassador for the Mountain America Center within the community.

This position serves as a key member of the venue leadership team and embodies the Mountain America Center culture of Get It Done, Power In Unity, and Best of the Best.

 

Areas of Responsibility

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Generate revenue through the sale of suites, loge seats, premium hospitality products, and corporate partnership packages.
  • Prospect, cultivate, and close new business opportunities through networking, outbound sales efforts, referrals, and community engagement.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing partners to maximize retention and renewal rates.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned corporate partners and premium seat holders.
  • Work collaboratively with the resident hockey team on corporate and general sales. 
  • Coordinate activation and fulfillment of sponsorship agreements to ensure all partner benefits are delivered.
  • Maintain accurate client records, pipelines, and sales forecasting information in CRM systems.
  • Conduct facility tours and host client meetings and events.
  • Represent the Mountain America Center at community, chamber, and industry events.
  • Assist in the development of annual partnership sales strategies, inventory packaging, and pricing recommendations.
  • Prepare proposals, presentations, contracts, and renewal documentation.
  • Monitor market trends and competitive venue offerings to identify new sales opportunities.
  • Assist with box office sales and show settlements as needed

Qualifications

· High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sports Management, Communications, or a related field preferred.
· 3-5 years of experience in corporate sales, sponsorship sales, premium seating sales, ticket sales, business development, or a related field required.
· Prior experience in sports, entertainment, hospitality, event venues, or live entertainment preferred.
· One year of leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
· Demonstrated knowledge of consultative selling, account management, and prospecting techniques.
· Proven ability to build relationships, negotiate agreements, and close sales opportunities.
· Strong presentation, communication, and networking skills.
· Experience managing key accounts and client retention initiatives.
· Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint required.
· Experience utilizing CRM and ticketing platforms preferred. Bonus points for experience with TM1, Archtics, Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar systems.
· Ability to analyze sales data and identify revenue growth opportunities.
· Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment within established policies and assigned authority.
· Must have a reliable attendance record and flexibility to work days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and changing schedules based on events and client needs.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to bend, kneel, reach, push, pull, climb stairs, and perform repetitive work.
  • Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures and weather conditions.
  • Ability to work around crowds and in noisy environments.
  • Regular exposure to event-driven schedules and periods of high activity is expected.
