Our Manager in Training program is meant to be for those Sr. students or right out of college (1-2 years), but are looking to gain experience. It Is a FT hourly position with possible OT, vacation and benefits, and is a track to a salaried management position after the program is completed. 
The program is meant to offer more than just that of an internship. You get real-world experience overseeing a large piece of our operation, taking ownership with high-profile clients and operations. You get experience a multitude of different areas within Sports including: 
Event Ops: Given a large portion of the Major Events at Dallas Fair Park
Client Relations:  MIT’s will be the main POC for a few of the smaller accounts, giving them the chance to develop this skill set. Working with a partner is something that takes time to learn and each MIT gets assigned 2 smaller accounts to oversee and take ownership of  (Texas Rangers , FC Dallas, City of Richardson, or Coppell Arts Center)

Leadership: The MIT’s also lead a team. They will have anywhere from 3 – 75 frontline staff underneath them. This is a very unique opportunity that many venues aren’t able to offer. 

HR/Onboarding: All of the MIT’s also assist with compliance, recruiting, hiring, training and onboarding our frontline staff. 

Marketing/Social Media: MIT’s are asked to get highly involved with our Social Media and Marketing. They lead the PR for the branch and have a wide range of creative options.
 GENERAL-PURPOSE:
To establish opportunities for MIT to learn from seasoned managers in order to build the skillset and aptitude to become a well-rounded manager. The MIT will provides direction and accountability for designated accounts within Sports and Entertainment. Regularly visits with clients to ensure adequate Supervisory and Officer staffing and compliance with all client requirements. Must be available to attend any event meetings as arranged by the client(s). Responsible for on-site training of new hires as well as performing ongoing training to existing staff. Assesses skills of staff and works with the Operation Manager to ensure proper staff assignments.

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

  •  *Develop post orders and best practices for each assigned position within a designated account
  • *Understand all Andy Frain Services policies and procedures. Administer as needed 
  • *Resolves personnel problems and guides counseling of Security Supervisors and Officers.    
  • *Proactively identifies risks to employees and company assets (buildings, equipment, etc.).  Plays a central role in ensuring a safe, healthy, and secure workplace.  
  • *Executes the creation, implantation, and maintenance of the annual recruiting plan. 
  • *Responsible for orientation and training of Security Officers and other personnel.  
  • Develop site training aids and manuals to document process or operations and provided services
  • Develop and maintain Guest Services staff manuals and event-day information tools.
  • *Handles all on-site and final in-person interviews, submits to Branch Manager for approval. 
  • Build Staffing requirements in eTime before pre-established deadlines. 
  • *Schedule required positions needed for all client requests. Ask for assistance from the Business Manager when applicable if additional support is needed
  • Manage/Oversee venue Events; and/or 24/7 Staffing.
  • Conduct orientation and guides staff in strengthening competencies and meeting client needs.
  • Submit billing and payroll for next day processing
  • *Submit event evaluation following each event. 
  • *Will be an effective member of and lead project teams.
  • *Act as a readily available resource to client(s) Security Staff and Security Supervisors in the area of operations.
  • *Meet regularly with client(s) to proactively address security, emergency, and safety matters.
  • *Submit equipment and supply written requests to Regional Manager 30 days before needed equipment
  • Respond promptly to all email and verbal communications.  
  • *Carry out all responsibilities in an honest, ethical, and professional manner.
  • Support other departments or offsite locations as assigned by the Regional Manager. 
SUPERVISORY DUTIES:
 In accordance with applicable Andy Frain Services policies/procedures and Federal/State laws, may perform the following supervisory responsibilities:  Interviewing, hiring orienting, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; coaching and appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.  

Supervises:
Security Supervisors, Dispatchers, Security Officers, Parking Detail and Others as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
 The following are the minimum qualifications that an individual needs in order to successfully perform the duties and responsibilities of this position.  Please note that the minimum qualifications may vary based upon the department size and/or geographic location.
Knowledge:
  • High School Diploma required; Associate or higher degree preferred or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of security operations, workplace health, and safety issues.
  • Evidence of ability to work autonomously using sound judgment reflecting strong customer service orientation.
  • Ability to obtain FEMA Certification in 100b, 200b, 700a, 800b, 901, and also IAVM Training Crowd Manager.
Skills/Abilities:
  • Strong oral and written communications skills.
  • Computer skills required.
  • Superior planning, organization, and leadership/supervisory skills.
  • Strong customer and quality orientation.
  • Prior training experience preferred.
  • Ability to be a hands-on, results-oriented employee, handling multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Ability to facilitate progressive change.
