Team Playmaker (“Team Playmaker”) is hiring a Director, Partnership Sales to play a key role in our growing organization. Our agency works with a wide range of sports and entertainment clients, delivering comprehensive partnership sales and execution strategies across marquee assets, including naming and entitlement positions, jersey sponsorships, and other high-impact commercial platforms.
The Role:
The Director of Partnership Sales will report to the VP of Sales and play a critical role in driving revenue growth across Team Playmaker’s portfolio of properties. This individual will own full-cycle partnership sales efforts, from strategic prospecting and category development through negotiation and closing, while building long-term relationships with brands and rights-holder clients.
The ideal candidate is a creative dealmaker with an entrepreneurial mindset, deep knowledge of the sports and entertainment commercial landscape, and a proven ability to structure custom partnerships that deliver measurable value to clients and partners.

Essential Functions:
- Build and manage a robust sales pipeline while personally securing six- and seven-figure multi-year sponsorship partnerships for property partners.
- Lead end-to-end sales efforts including strategy development, category targeting, prospect outreach, presentations, negotiation, and closing.
- Partner collaboratively with internal team members to develop and execute complex sponsorship opportunities.
- Utilize a consultative sales approach to understand partner objectives and design innovative commercial solutions.
- Maintain strong relationships with rights-holder clients and prospective brand partners.
- Track and manage sales activity through CRM tools and maintain accurate pipeline reporting.
- Contribute to broader revenue strategy as Team Playmaker continues to expand its client portfolio.
- Support additional strategic initiatives as assigned.
Requirements:
- 7+ years of experience in sponsorship sales.
- Demonstrated success securing six- and seven-figure partnerships and driving new business revenue.
- Deep understanding of the sponsorship ecosystem, including naming rights, entitlement partnerships, and integrated marketing solutions.
- High level of organizational and time management skills, with an emphasis on driving tasks to completion and meeting deadlines.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities.
- Self-starter mentality with a proactive, team-first approach.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Willingness and ability to travel for client and partner meetings.
