Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Licensing video archive content (footage and programming) from the 35+ IMG portfolio of archives to licensees based Worldwide predominantly focused in the USA market
  • Particular interest in sport is required and expertise is desired in the following sports – Tennis, Golf as well as US specific sports
  • Licensing News Access rights for the 20+ current rights holders based in EMEA
  • To negotiate, agree and conclude archive content licensing deals across IMG 35+ rights holders/archives and maximising all license fees, with each deal being individually pre-agreed by each rights holder
  • Sales will predominantly originate from customers in the USA and rights holders that we represent in that territory. Majority of sales will be from Tennis, Golf, Paralympics, Soccer properties
  • Negotiating and concluding News Access licenses, for selected rights holders, with each deal being individually pre-agreed by each rights holder
  • To build relationships and account manage a handful of IMG archive specific rights holders predominantly based in the USA
  • Developing high quality personal service and developing relationships with existing and future licensees based in USA
  • Proactively approach new potential licensees and build network with relevant production houses, broadcasters, brands, agencies etc to nurture future business
  • Liaising with internal divisions, external rights holders (clients) and licensees (customers) as needed in the execution of footage licensing agreements
  • Providing, clear and concise information to the Team Assistant to ensure the efficient issuing of all licensee paperwork (invoice and contracts)
  • Maintaining good debt collection practices – aiming to get all invoices paid within 90 days
  • Assisting the Sales Director with necessary admin tasks for US sales including processing of deals and necessary reporting both internally and externally
  • Understanding and keeping up to date with industry and competitive landscape knowledge
  • Helping to raise the profile of IMG archive division, both internally and externally
  • Using IMGvideoarchive.com to help create digital screeners or clip reels for IMG licensees
  • Working closely with the Sales Director, on any specific priority sales enquiries 
  • Ideate on any new business opportunities for the division and cross collaboration with other divisions within IMG
  • You may also be required to carry out any other duties which are within the scope and purpose of the job

Knowledge and Experience

  • 3+ years Media Sales experience
  • Passion and good general knowledge for Sports
  • Proven history of achieving or surpassing sales targets
  • Commercial acumen
  • Financially literate
  • Ability to present at all levels both internally and externally
  • Experience achieving long-range objectives and implementing the strategies and actions to achieve them
  • Proven team player

Skills and Abilities

  • A positive, trustworthy, self-motivated individual with a passion for achieving results.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office software, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Experience in reporting and recording through sales CRM
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to build long lasting working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to self-direct and motivate and work with minimal supervision
  • A strong team player that is flexible, dependent on business demand
  • Excellent time management skills, ability to work calmly under pressure whilst meeting deadlines
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise

Working Conditions

  • This is a permanent position
  • This role will be based in New York
  • May be required to attend (and travel to) locations, including other IMG buildings and meetings
  • Unsocial hours may be required, as dictated by the demands of the business schedule
  • Adapting to use of new systems and technology where appropriate

Per local requirements and in the interest of transparency, the hourly rate shown below reflects the prevalent current hiring range for this position. Hiring pay rates are based on a number of factors, including location and may vary depending on job-related qualifications, knowledge, skills and experience. The company strives to provide locally competitive rewards packages, which include base rate along with, as applicable, short- and long-term incentives, growth and developmental opportunities, and robust benefits, such as health care, retirement, vacation and other paid time off, and additional offerings.

Hiring Rate Minimum:

$58,500 annually(minimum will not fall below the applicable State/local minimum salary thresholds)

Hiring Rate Maximum:

$78,000 annually
