About this property: Oregon State student-athletes and teams have endless amounts of qualities and stories to share. The heroes of these stories are the Beavers student-athletes themselves. This property will deliver a platform for all OSU student-athletes and teams to create, optimize, and promote their brand by showcasing their talents through storytelling, delivering longer-lasting connectivity with investors, including Oregon State alumni, fans, and business partners. NIL opportunities are the tools that help illustrate and bring these stories to life.
POSITION HIGHLIGHTS:
- Revenue Generation – Identify, prospect, and work with national, regional, and local businesses that wish to promote their businesses and brands by engaging with Oregon State student-athletes and the Collective through NIL opportunities. The primary goal will be to establish and raise new NIL funding through business partnerships and sponsorships. This role will be expected to prospect and close new opportunities, plan and conduct sales meetings, consult businesses on NIL rules and how NIL opportunities can provide value to strategic marketing plans, negotiate deals and contracts, and provide reporting to leadership. Work closely with the Beaver Sports Properties team on campus to maximize opportunities for Beaver student-athletes.
- Athletics Administration – Work with the collective Executive Director and Blueprint Sports leadership to be a liaison with athletics administration, coaching staff, and student-athletes.
QUALIFICATIONS:
The ideal candidate will possess the following characteristics, traits, and experience:
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year accredited college or university, Oregon State alumni, and/or former student-athlete preferred but not required
- At least three (3) years of experience in corporate sponsorship sales, sports marketing, marketing/advertising/influencer strategy, media/agency/radio/TV sales, talent representation, or B2B sales
- Demonstrated understanding of Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) as it relates to the collegiate athletics space, preferred but not required
- Proven track record of quickly developing and maintaining strong and lasting relationships with relevant internal and external stakeholders
- Strong sales and presentation skills with the ability to follow up, negotiate, influence, and close deals quickly
- Possess a conscientious attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills
- Demonstrate a high level of integrity and honesty and has a reputation as the person who always does the right/fair thing
- Be proactive and self-motivated by a will to achieve results and win
- Must possess an entrepreneurial mindset
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and deliver high-level results
- Ability to work nights/weekends/sporting events and travel (<10%) as needed
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Suite(s)
