Responsibilities:  
Are you energetic, outgoing, and enthusiastic?  The Kokomo Jackrabbits are looking to fill the biggest shoes in the ballpark for their mascot, Jax.  The Jackrabbits mascot is a well-known and beloved character throughout the community and is responsible for entertaining and exciting fans of all ages throughout the year.  The ideal candidate must interact well with children, be animated, and most importantly, love to have fun!
 
Examples of Duties/Essential Functions
·        Be the ultimate symbol of team spirit for the Kokomo Jackrabbits

·        Perform as Jax at home games during the 2024 season and in the surrounding areas for various functions

·        Create a fun and energetic experience by personally interacting with fans inside and outside of the stadium

·        Represent the Kokomo Jackrabbits in an appropriate and professional manner at all events

·        Helping create new and fun on-field promotions

·        Help with execution of theme and promotional nights 

·        Developing positive relationships with fans, clients, and community members to help promote the Kokomo Jackrabbits

·        Willingness to attend community events as well as helping with any marketing campaigns

·        Assisting or helping to ensure that the ballpark is ready and looking presentable each game day

·        Ability to work non-traditional and long hours including evenings and weekends

·        Assisting other departments when needed in and around the stadium and with the team

 Qualifications:
·        Flexible schedule, including availability week day mornings and weekend hours

·        Have their own means of transportation to and from events and live in the Kokomo area

·        Outgoing, dependable and organized, with a willingness and desire to have fun

·        Comfortable performing in front of large crowds with an ability to generate crowd enthusiasm

·        Excellent customer service skills

·        Ability to handle the demands of working in full-body costume (i.e. work outdoors in all weather conditions, move easily with limited peripheral vision)

·        Possesses strong communication skills and the ability to work well with others

·        Previous mascot experience is preferred, but not required
