Company Description

MADE Hoops is the premier grassroots basketball events organization in North America. Founded in 2014, our mission has always been Maximizing Athletes’ Development and Exposure (MADE). We host 100+ boys and girls basketball events annually, including competitive camps for all ages, middle school and high school tournaments, and the top independent high school circuit in the country. We're proud to have countless McDonald's All-Americans, NCAA athletes, and NBA stars among our alumni.

Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Project Manager (focused on technology, product, and data) to lead tech-forward initiatives across the MADE Hoops ecosystem. This is a six‑month contract role (full-time or fractional) with a strong likelihood to extend to a permanent, full-time role based on performance.

You will orchestrate the systems, integrations, and delivery processes that power a best-in-class digital experience so that stakeholders enjoy a seamless and reliable digital experience with MADE Hoops. This includes spearheading the implementation of a new third‑party registration platform and AI-powered video/stats solutions while guiding evaluation and adoption of the ideal plugins and software across the organization.

This role is ideal for a strategic, hands-on builder who can turn ambiguity into scalable systems. The perfect candidate pairs strong API and data-architecture expertise with an aptitude for low/no‑code and AI-enabled prototyping (e.g., Replit, Lovable) to automate workflows, reduce errors, and help automate workflows for teammate. The ideal candidate can communicate crisply with executives and stakeholders, translate business goals into clear roadmaps, timelines, and milestones, and guide cross‑functional execution while the development team builds. Comfort with BI and data visualization is important, while experience with e‑commerce/support tools (Shopify, Zendesk) is a plus. Familiarity and/or experience with youth or amateur sports — particularly grassroots basketball — is strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute heavily to the implementation of a new third‑party registration platform, including requirements, vendor coordination, data mapping, QA, launch, and change management.
  • Drive evaluation and rollout of AI‑powered video and stats solutions; define success metrics, pilot with teams, and train staff on workflows.
  • Partner with the company's web development team to stand up a modern data warehouse and ecosystem integrations; shape data models, API contracts, and data flow governance.
  • Project manage the new website rebuild from discovery through launch; run sprint planning, maintain the backlog, sequence milestones, and clear blockers.
  • Build and iterate low/no‑code and AI-enabled tools to automate internal processes, speed feedback loops, reduce errors, and cut manual work.
  • Create and maintain basic product roadmaps and timelines; communicate status, risks, and tradeoffs to company leadership and staff.
  • Conduct structured evaluations of plugins/tools, and recommend solutions aligned to business goals and budget.
  • Establish lightweight documentation, runbooks, and KPI dashboards to promote transparency, adoption, and data-informed decisions.
  • Uphold data quality, privacy, and security best practices across integrated systems.

Qualifications
  • Proven strength in APIs, data warehousing, and data architecture; comfortable with REST/GraphQL patterns, ETL/ELT workflows, and schema design.
  • Hands-on with low/no‑code and AI builders (e.g., Replit, Lovable) to rapidly prototype, ship, and iterate internal and external‑facing tools.
  • Comfort with business intelligence and data visualization; able to define “source of truth” metrics and build clear dashboards for stakeholders.
  • Excellent communicator who can translate complex technical concepts into concise updates and decisions for executives and nontechnical partners.
  • Experience overseeing product roadmaps and milestones while coordinating execution with an engineering/dev team.
  • Exposure to e‑commerce and support platforms (Shopify, Zendesk) is a plus.
  • Experience in youth, amateur, or collegiate sports—and an understanding of the grassroots basketball landscape—is a plus.
  • Bias for action in fast‑paced environments; strong organization, prioritization, and vendor/stakeholder management skills.

  1. This position is slated as a six-month contract position with full-time hours, but we are also open to a fractional arrangement (e.g. 15-30 hours/week) or a full-time position from the outset for the ideal candidate. Which of those three is your preference? (if applicable)

  2. What aspects of the job description or the company as a whole are most exciting / intriguing to you?

  3. Share a link to any recent tools that you have vibe coded or used via automations or agents (e.g. Zapier)
