Position Summary:
The Manager of Finance for NCSA oversees financial planning, analysis, budgeting, and reporting to ensure the organization’s financial health and operational efficiency. This role partners with senior leadership to support strategic decision-making, maintain strong internal controls, and ensure compliance with institutional, state, and federal financial policies. The Manager of Finance plays a key role in developing financial models, improving processes, and providing accurate and timely financial insights.

Position Responsibilities:

• Oversee the preparation, monitoring, and management of annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans for NCSA programs and departments.
• Conduct financial analyses to support strategic initiatives, operational improvements, and resource allocation decisions.
• Prepare regular financial statements and reports, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and compliance with relevant regulations and organizational standards.
• Maintain and strengthen internal controls, ensuring adherence to financial policies, grant requirements, and audit standards.
• Collaborate with leadership to evaluate financial risks and opportunities, recommending actions to ensure fiscal sustainability.
• Manage financial transactions, including procurement, reimbursements, and account reconciliation.
• Serve as liaison with institutional finance offices, auditors, and external partners as needed.
• Lead or support the development and implementation of financial systems, tools, and process improvements.
• Provide guidance, training, and support to staff on budgeting, financial procedures, and compliance requirements.
• Supervise finance team members, fostering a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continual improvement.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Bachelor’s degree
• Strong understanding of budgeting, accounting principles, and financial analysis.
• Proven ability to interpret complex financial data and communicate insights clearly to diverse audiences.
• Experience with financial systems, reporting tools, and spreadsheet modeling.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
• Demonstrated commitment to accuracy, confidentiality, and ethical financial management.
• Supervisory or team-lead experience preferred.
