JOB SUMMARY:

The Director of Sales will serve as the direct manager for ticket sales and sponsorship efforts. This position will oversee the entire ticket sales staff and the sponsorship coordinator, while working closely with the box office team, the food and beverage team, and guest services. The Director of Sales will oversee the organization and development of all ticket sales within the organization, including but not limited to corporate ticket sales, season ticket sales and retention, single game, group venues, group sales and prospecting for all categories. In addition to ticket sales, the Director of Sales will oversee the organization and development of all sponsorship packages and ensure that the sponsorship coordinator executes those packages. This person should be an outgoing, energetic, and creative sales professional who is a self-starter with a strong sales acumen and the ability to build relationships. This individual will be a strong leader and have experience leading a sales staff of five or more people. This position will report directly to the General Manager.

DUTIES:

· Manage the sales team for groups, season tickets other multi-ticket plans

· Manage the sponsorship coordinator in the execution of sponsor packages

· Lead and manage a successful sales & sponsorship staff of 3-4 full-time team members

· Identify and solicit new business in the Lansing regional area

· Manage the implementation of all season ticket and group ticket strategies

· Maintain groups sales inventory

· Daily reporting of sales and goals

· Responsible for all group venues

· Develop and implement group and multi-ticket plan incentives

· Create and manage sales and sponsorship budget

· Create and present sponsor business reviews annually

· Other related duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS:
· Minimum of 5 years of successful sales experience
· Minimum 3 years of sales management experience
· Ticket sales experience in a professional sports venue highly recommended
· Proficiency with MS Word, Excel and CRM databases such as SCORE
· Strong leadership skills; previous managerial experience is preferred
· Team player
