Position Summary:  The Richmond Kickers Ticket Sales Manager is responsible for creating and implementing a Ticket Sales Plan by marketing and selling full seasons, partial seasons and mini ticket plans, as well as group sales and hospitality through inbound and outbound sales activities.  The individual will serve as the primary point of contact for inbound sales while outbound sales activity includes phone sales, e-marketing sales, sales meeting appointments and grassroots marketing promotional event appearances.  The Ticket Sales Manager will also assist with the training and management of Account Executives and will oversee all Box Office operations.  The position will provide leadership and strategic direction for the purpose of maximizing revenues, creating and implementing marketing plans and will be instrumental in fulfilling the mission of the Richmond Kickers.  Reports to Director of Business Development.  Flexible schedule, willingness to work weekends and access to transportation is necessary.   

Minimum Position Duties and Responsibilities
  • Create and implement a 12-month Ticket Sales Plan, which will lead to maximized ticket sales revenue
  • Maintain thorough understanding of all ticket product lines including season tickets, group sales and sponsorship packages 
  • Exhibit proficient knowledge of ticket sales database and programming, including but not limited to, managing performances, producing reports, evaluating trends and creating call lists for Account Executives 
  • Provide support for ticket office related tasks such as filing, mailing, invoicing and responding to general inquires 
  • Sell full seasons, partial season ticket plans and various group ticket products
  • Create and develop new business through outbound calls, event appearances and community outreach
  • Manage all personal sales accounts and provide high levels of customer service
  • Attain daily, weekly and monthly assigned sales activity goals which include hitting targets for number of calls, appointments and community networking events
  • Attend promotional and community events to increase and drive sales
  • Staff, train and manage match day Box Office to include providing assistance to ticket holders, problem-solving and improving the overall fan experience 
  • Assist team in building an overall positive sales culture within the organization
  • Accountable for reaching defined sales goals and established revenue targets
  • Process incoming orders and Will Call requests 
  • Ensure all equipment is operational and gates are ready for match day
  • Full participation in inbound/outbound call campaigns 
  • Assist all departments and special projects as needed

Minimum Position Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Two to three years sales and management experience and proven record of sales success
  • Highly motivated, aggressive, competitive, detail-oriented and reliable self-starter who works well in a team environment
  • Ability to develop, implement and execute strategic sales plans
  • Demonstrate high level of professionalism, work well under pressure, demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness and willingness to learn and adapt in fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office and ticketing platforms; some graphic design experience a plus 
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including but not limited to evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Knowledge of and passion for the game of soccer preferred
