Job Summary: North Carolina Football Club is seeking a highly motivated individual to drive sales of its Corporate Partnerships department. This position will be involved in all sales efforts for North Carolina FC (USL) and North Carolina Courage (NWSL).
Essential duties and responsibilities:
All aspects of corporate event outings/premium hospitality and sponsorship sales for North Carolina FC and North Carolina Courage, including prospecting new business and renewing existing sponsors (cash and trade), with the main focus on selling large corporate pregame employee events. Research, identify and contact potential clients via cold calling (phone and in-person) and networking.
Develop and pitch sponsorship/partnership packages to new and existing sponsors designed to meet clients’ needs and objectives.
Fulfill premium hospitality/large corporate pregame employee events in collaboration with Events Manager and sponsorship packages in collaboration with Corporate Partnership Activation Manager.
Manage partnership inventory aspects of the North Carolina Football Club organization, including coordinating with other staff on inventory availability.
Coordinate with Town of Cary, vendors and appropriate North Carolina Football Club personnel to ensure all contract fulfillment is executed within the scope of sponsorship.
Manage corporate outings/premium hospitality within CRM system.
Execute on all aspects of customer service and client relationship building, including cultivating relationships with current and prospective sponsors and entertaining current and prospective sponsors during hospitality and North Carolina FC and North Carolina Courage home games/events.
Systematically contact each corporate partner on a regular basis to maintain a high level of customer service/retention.
Assist in the coordination of corporate title nights, as well as Suites and Party Decks for corporate events, including coordination of menu, coordination, and delivery of tickets, and any other elements necessary for a top-level experience in collaboration with Events Manager.
Attend community events, networking events and business conferences.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
Minimum 5 years of sales experience
Track record of driving revenue growth
Professional, goal-oriented, strong analytical skills, strong communication skills, strong presentation skills, highly motivated, strong organizational skills, and strong interpersonal skills
Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
Experience working in sports sales a plus
Knowledge of and passion for soccer a plus
This position will report directly to the Vice President – Corporate Partnerships in close coordination with the Director of Corporate Partnerships (with main focus on sponsorships), Events Manager, and Corporate Partnership Activation Manager.
