Hartford Athletic is Connecticut’s new professional soccer team competing in the United Soccer League. The Graphic Design intern reports to the VP, Marketing & Strategic Initiatives and is responsible for promoting the club through owned assets, earned media, and paid media. The position will include day-to-day management of social media, website, and email content in addition to supporting partnership and gameday activation. Ideal candidates will have an understanding of soccer, a foundation in marketing and communications, a desire to communicate with fans on a daily basis, and the ability to produce creative and innovative content that drives engagement with the brand.
Assist lead designer in creation and execution of print and digital collateral
Edit photos and videos for social media
Design visual elements for presentations and pitch decks
Assist with Gameday activities
Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud: Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
Strong typographic and conceptual design skills
Knowledge of Premiere Pro, After Effects a plus
Photography and photo editing experience preferred but not required
Ability to take design direction and criticism is a must
Creative mind set with the ability to think quickly
Excellent communication skills
Upbeat and fun personality
Must be available to work all home match days during internship
