FC Cincinnati is searching for an experienced, detail-oriented accounting professional to fill the position of Controller. The Controller will be responsible for all accounting functions including the implementation, development, and improvement of all financial planning and accounting systems and software. The position will require staff development and management as well as the preparation and presentation of all financial and managerial reports to senior management. The position will report directly to the COO and regularly engage with senior management. Candidates should have strong interpersonal skills, exceptional written and oral communication skills, as well as a proactive approach to problem solving and development. Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task are also required.
Essential duties:
Manage all finance and accounting operations including but not limited to:
·       Software selection, implementation and management
·       Establish accounting principles, practices and procedures required for GAAP compliance
·       Establish and maintain all necessary internal and quality controls
·       Manage A/R, A/P, GL, Accounting for Inventory and Revenue Recognition
·       Lead and manage the requests for yearly tax compliance efforts to include all Federal, State and Local filing requirements
·       Communicate budget recommendations, implement cost controls and provide insight into the financial condition of all companies
·       Facilitate annual audit requirements
Manage all reporting requirements including but not limited to:
·       Preparation of cash flows, budgets, forecasts and variance reports to assist with analysis of the economic impact of alternative courses of action
·       Preparation of timely monthly and year-end financial statements required by Major League Soccer, Soccer United Marketing and any other outside controlling entities 
·       Preparation and organization of all materials requested by the COO and President for investor meetings with ownership group
Professional requirements:
·       Minimum of 7-10 years accounting experience with some of that experience in a corporate or partnership setting, tax and finance experience a plus
·       CPA designation required, CMA designation a plus
·       Experience with multiple software platforms preferred, strong Microsoft Excel skills required
·       Demonstrated professional success marked by progression to new roles with increased duties and responsibilites
