USL Spokane is hiring a full time seasonal/contracted Social Media Specialist to help support the marketing department through the end of October 2024. There is the potential this role with extend beyond the end of October based upon the needs of the organization.

This role will be primarily responsible for the following functions related to both Velocity FC and Zephyr FC as needed:

Attend training sessions and home games and capture high-quality photo and video images that align with brand guidelines.
Create and edit content including captions, stories, photos, videos, and graphics.
Serve as main point of contact for social media execution at assigned training and home games as needed.
Assist with brainstorming concepts and executing creative ideas and growth strategies on how to engage with the community and fan base.
Thinks creatively on how to create exciting and engaging new content to inspire and excite.
Attends community events as USL Spokane representative while also collecting photo and video for social media content.
Regularly execute full cycle social media push from idea creation, content creation, and post through all social platforms.
Serves as intern coordinator at training sessions and game days as needed ensuring interns have proper assignments and are performing meaningful tasks and.
This position must be able to work flexible hours which will include extended days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
The successful candidate should bring strong visual design skills utilizing software including Canva and Adobe Suite.
Social management platform experience is a must.
We are looking for someone who is excited to be creative and bring engaging ideas and content to professional soccer.
This role is fast paced with frequently changing demands and priorities and the successful candidate must be able to operate in an environment of ambiguity, flexibility, and have the ability to shift focus and priorities quickly.

Minimum Qualifications Include:

Ability to pass comprehensive background check including a motor vehicle report and ability to pass SafeSport Training.
Have reliable transportation throughout the day to various work locations.
Looking for an experienced social media professional with direct experience in sports marketing able to operate with little oversight.

Compensation and Benefits:

Non-exempt position with a range of $20 - $32 / hour based upon experience
Washington Paid Sick Leave 1 hour for every 40 hours worked
