Summary: The General Manager is responsible for all business operations and will lead Corporate Sponsorship Sales, Annual Suite Sales, Group Sales and Ticket Package Sales for Union Omaha, a USL League One franchise.
Lead and direct a revenue-driven culture by the Union Omaha sales staff shared with the Omaha Storm Chasers
Cultivate a “Sales First” culture in the Union Omaha office and lead by example with “Sales First” actions and words
Collaborate on the direction of external marketing, public relations, and community relations plans
Manage the business operations and budgets in a manner consistent with the vision of club ownership
Serve as primary liaison for interface between Union Omaha and Omaha Storm Chasers
Network diligently to build and strengthen relationships with corporate partners, media, and fans in Omaha and the surrounding region
Maintain records of all customers and prospects by utilizing SalesForce CRM tool; coordinate staff efforts to fully utilize SalesForce CRM tool in real-time
Represent the organization at in-house ballpark events and off-site community events promoting ticket sales and the organization
Coordinate “team/sales related” functions with the Director of Soccer Ops
Responsible for coordination of servicing and retention of Union Omaha clients as well as fulfillment of sponsorship contracts
Create and develop comprehensive proposals and presentations to meet clients’ needs
Set team and individual sales goals, monitor daily, weekly, and monthly results; schedule consistent sales meetings to effectuate meeting sales goals
Provide excellent customer service and care to all customers and prospects
Manage assigned group of employees, directing work and appraising performance
Work with Human Resources in interviewing, hiring, and training of employees; as well as rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems
Ensure staffing requirements are met and proper work assignments are maintained
Other duties as assigned
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Marketing, Marketing, or related field preferred
At least three years sales experience in the sports field
At least three years of management and leadership experience including budget management
Excellent customer service skills
Ability to solve problems quickly
Attention to detail
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects
Good working knowledge of computer programs including Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Adobe Suite, Internet, and database programs
Valid driver’s license and ability to drive for organizational business
Ability and willingness to work varied and long hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
This job operates in an office environment located at an outdoor facility. This individual routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones and copiers. During games and events, this individual may be exposed to extreme weather conditions
