ABOUT THE CLUB

Founded in 2022, One Knoxville SC is a professional soccer club competing in USL League One. 2023 will be One Knoxville’s first fully professional season. The Club is focused on building a civically-minded professional sporting brand by connecting community outreach, civic pride, and competitive soccer. One Knoxville believes in onboarding talented individuals and providing a platform for those individuals to lead, experiment, and grow.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The club is looking for motivated interns to support the Ticket Sales and Operations Departments during the USL League One regular and playoff seasons from March to late November. The internship is divided in three main components: office hours, community events and gameday operations. Interns will gain valuable experience working within a professional athletic organization assisting in revenue growth from ticket holder management to gameday sales strategy. As a new club, interns will help to spread brand identity in Knoxville by assisting in creation, production, and distribution of One Knox products. This is an unpaid, for college credit role.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist in ticket sales and ticket holder management in the One Knox SC office
Assist on sales and marketing strategy
Act as a USL1 compliant ticket seller during gamedays
Set up, operate and tear down ticket pop-up booths during different community events and all One Knox SC gamedays
Provide event recaps and strategize to improve event efficiency and customer experience
Help manage all gameday operations from vendor placement to team needs
Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

All majors welcome
High school juniors and seniors considered on an individual basis
Athletic background or experience working in athletic environment preferred
Customer service experience and strong interpersonal skills preferred
Collaborative, highly motivated and creative problem-solver
Must have an unexpired driver’s license and regular access to a personal vehicle
Must be willing to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
Must be able to lift, carry and pull up to 40 pounds unassisted
Able to stand for long periods of time and work outdoors in all weather
