Indy Eleven internships are available for course credit only. Interns are provided a paid monthly parking stipend, but are otherwise unpaid. Positions are less than 30 hours per week, but will depend on the number of hours needed to complete course credit. Work schedules will be set at the beginning of the internship. Indy Eleven will require all new interns to receive the COVID-19 vaccination prior to entering the office environment as a condition of the internship program. Valid exceptions will be reviewed, such as underlying health conditions or another validated factor which prevent an applicant from obtaining.
Ticket Sales Internship This unpaid position will report directly to the General Manager, Ticket Sales and other Department Heads when pertinent.
This internship offers similar training and development that an entry-level sales representative in the Sports Industry will receive. You will have the opportunity to demonstrate the training through outbound sales efforts, virtual and face-2-face interactions. Our program is designed to provide you with the foundation you will need to succeed in a sales position post-graduation while giving you a first-hand look at the business-side of sports and entertainment.
Primary responsibilities for this position will include, but are not limited to:
Learn and develop the knowledge and understanding of the sales process through training and implementation
Skills you will learn include but are not limited to:
The sales process
Group Ticket Sales
B2B Ticket Sales
Archtics and Salesforce training
Develop the skills to help turn sales leads into executed sales deals while managing the relationship to ensure long-term renewal
Prospecting and generating new leads to target for Ticket Sales efforts
Learning how to create professional sales proposals for potential prospects
Develop and manage relationships within but not limited to the following communities to help drive sales efforts: youth sports, non-profit organizations, religious organizations, the business community, and performance organizations
Assist in the development of ticket sales initiatives
Manage or assist with fulfillment of game day/event duties such as but not limited to: Group Sales Fan Experiences, Ticket Sales table, offsite events
Execute Ticket Sales related administrative tasks at a high level
Assist in Indy Eleven front office activities such as but not limited to: managing the inbound phone line, operating the front desk duties, assisting with other departments when requested, etc.
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications for the position include:
Interest in sales as a profession preferred
Experience in sales and sports preferred
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Passion for soccer preferred
Knowledge of Central Indiana and its soccer community
Able to work with management and a diverse team of people
