INTERNSHIP/VOLUNTEER SUMMARY
Hartford Athletic intern will have the opportunity to learn about Club’s culture and vision, understanding the importance of a systemic approach to the strategic planning and daily actions, which includes every area of the club, marketing, ticketing, media, operations, public relations and technical department).
POSITION SUMMARY
The Hartford Athletic Sports Science Intern will learn and assist the coaching staff to optimize the operational efficiency of Team fitness, GPS data analysis/collecting, Wellness readiness, and RPE data collecting. The Fitness Coach will oversee and guide intern’s actions.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the 1st Team Performance Coach in designing and administering pre-training activation protocols and in-season strength training sessions
- Aid in performing all practice warm-up activities in conjunction with the needs to of the coaching staff and performance coach
- Manage all in-training GPS tagging and post-session uploading of all training sessions
- Work with the Performance Staff to perform regeneration sessions as needed
- Help with end-stage rehab sessions as needed with guidance from Performance & Medical Staff
- Attend all important team & staff meetings
Qualifications:
- Working towards undergraduate or graduate degree in Exercise Science or a related field regarding data collection, strength training, sports science, etc.
- Experience working within collegiate or professional sports. (Soccer Preferred)
- CSCS or NASM certified or working toward certification
- GPS Experience preferred
- Strong Knowledge of Excel, PowerBI
- Ability to communicate instructions effectively to diverse audiences
- Ability to exercise sound judgement and discretion when needed
OTHER DETAILS
- Internship is unpaid.
- Applicant must have valid driver license/reliable method of transportation.
- Candidate must be able to commute to the Hartford area
- Start/End Date can be discussed upon time of interview.
